One day my foot will be peaking out from behind my head, but until that day comes a strap will suffice😊 It feels like all the work I've been putting into opening up my chest and shoulders is cancelled out by rock climbing. Although, I went to the chiropractor for the first time today and it turns out 1/3 of spine, a few ribs and my hips are out of whack. Sooo that could be factor 🤷

Although it may be hiding behind the clouds, the sun is always shining.
I try to remember that when things seem bleak.
We mustn’t blame the clouds in the sky, for it is our position in the world that is preventing its rays from kissing our skin. It is our perspective.
I am practicing accepting the gloomy days with an understanding that our dear friend will shine again soon.
How do you see beyond the clouds?
Why do it?
It is a great stretch, chest opener and balance in one.
You can breath deeper and feel more relaxed and grounded.
At the same time it allows to go inside and focus on inner emotions and explore your understanding of balance.
And your legs will say thank you for a stretch!😉

I understand sometimes it’s tooooo difficult , too expensive , too time consuming to eat healthy. Actually what I have noticed it is easy UNTIL : .
✔️You go on vacation.
✔️You have business lunches.
✔️ Your office has a ton of tempting snacks.
✔️ You are before/on your period - girls know what I’m talking about.
Right on a good week try to eat the following food : .
✔️ Fruits of all types, especially those that are naturally sweet.
✔️ All vegetables.
✔️ Whole grains, especially oats, wheat, and rice.
✔️ Beans, tofu.
✔️Plant-based oils, like sesame, sunflower, and olive oil, nuts , seeds.
✔️Herbal teas, water with lemon and/or lime, ginger.
✔️Sweet spices, like cinnamon, cardamom mint, basil, turmeric, ginger, cumin, fennel. .

This is a picture from June of me, my now-fiancé along with my Dad who was helping us move halfway across the country from NJ to TX. I was happy and hopeful then. I thought moving somewhere different where I didn’t know anyone would allow for a true fresh start and for me to find myself again.
When I moved here, to San Antonio, I wanted things to be different, but nothing really changed but my location. I really believed that moving halfway across the country, changing my outside circumstances, would make my internal world different.
Surprise! It didn’t.
What did change my internal world was really looking within and shifting my perspective, with a little help from studying yoga philosophy.
While stepping on the mat is healing in its own way, the potential yoga has to heal us internally and help us to uncover our own bliss is unlimited when you dive into the ancient wisdom of texts like the Yoga Sutras of Patanjai.
