According to #Ayurveda
, the universal life force manifests itself in three different types of energies, or doshas: vata, pitta and kapha. And while it’s very common to hear people talk about their “dosha” to refer to their bodily constitution or current state... did you know that they also apply to everything else in life? For example, the food you eat, the time of day, and even the seasons of the year!
Summer is the season of Pitta dosha, which combines fire and water; and which is characterized by heat — in this challenge we will explore a few asanas, a sequence and a pranayama that we can use to pacify Pitta, cooling both the body and the mind, during these months of heat ☀️
