Days 48/49. Yoga exerted a powerful attraction upon Hindus because of the wonders attributed to it and because it gives countenance to austerities. One thing that I think warrants further explanation from my last post about self control vs self awareness... I suppose it's not ENTIRELY true that I don't believe in self control. I just don't believe in how self control is typically practiced in a regimented, overly structured way that revolves around sticking to a predetermined plan. - I DO believe in moment to moment self control. In every moment we have the option to let go and trust ourselves to surrender to what wants to happen through us... Or to (1) take the easy way out and entertain / occupy / distract ourselves, or (2) force ourselves to do what we think we "should" do right now. So ironically, it takes a high degree of present moment self control to truly relinquish the other form of control. - The flow state happens when you stop trying to control the FUTURE and instead take control of the MOMENT. When it's time to START something, focus on STARTING. If you focus on FINISHING before it's actually time to finish, you'll be absent from the moment and will never do your best work. You'll also be less likely to finish at all bc you won't enjoy the process and will be struggling with quitting the entire time. - All bc you're so stuck on a given outcome that you limit yourself by trying to fit a predetermined plan instead of letting the magic of the moment unfold. I don't believe in self control. I believe in self awareness. The difference is huge. Control is limiting, but awareness is freeing. Control requires force. Awareness requires surrender. - **The observed Self acts very differently than the controlled or vacant self 👀 ** - Control stems from labeling some things good and others bad. Awareness is non-judgemental. Control is a burden that never goes away bc if you try to fake the end goal before you're there, you'll always have to fake it. Awareness allows you to just let go and watch the evolution unfold from where you are now to where you're going - and when you get there, it's so natural that it doesn't stop there bc it doesn't require control or force just to maintain. - The puzzle just keeps unfolding further and further. So self control helps you skip a few steps, but requires a lot of work and you're more likely to end up stuck in one place bc you're avoiding the true next step. ก้าวเล็กๆแต่สำคัญ... ได้อ่านหนังสือประทีบแห่งชีวิตไป และนึกถึง การเรียนคอร์สครูของเรา Mindfulness Teacher Training นึกได้ว่าอยากพูดเรื่องนี้ซ้ำๆด้วย ลองอ่านนะครับ เผื่อเป็นประโยชน์กัน การฝึกโยคะอาสนะ คือการก้าวเดินแบบค่อยเป็นค่อยไป แน่นอนว่าทุกท่านที่เข้ามาในการฝึก ก็ย่อมที่จะหวังเป้าหมายที่เค้าต้องการ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ตัวอ่อนนุ่มขึ้น,แข็งแรงทนทานขึ้น เป้าบางคนอาจจะไกลกว่า เช่น มีพลังภายในที่สูงขึ้น (ปราณเดิน กุณฑลินีตื่น) หรือบางคนไปไกลมาก คือ อยากได้สมาธิที่แก่กล้า มีฌานขึ้นจากการฝึกก็ตาม การเดินของโยคะคือ การอดทนรอคอยความก้าวหน้าทีละขณะๆ สิ่งนี้เองที่จะทำให้เราเข้าใจการฝึกของตนเองได้ ต่อให้มีครูดีแค่ไหน ไปหาทางลัด เทคนิคต่างๆมาจากไหน เรียน และ เลียนแบบ มาได้แค่ไหน ถ้าเราอดทนรอคอยดูการเติบโตอย่างช้าๆ ของตนเองไม่เป็น ถือว่าโยคะก็ยังคงไม่ได้ขัดเกลาอะไรให้เลย ความอยากหรือทางลัด มักจะเป็นอุปสรรคใหญ่ ที่จะทำให้เราไม่ก้าวหน้ากับการเดินเข้าสู่ภายใน เพราะเราไม่สามารถชำระล้างจิตใจ ไปพร้อมๆกับความอยากได้อยากมีได้ ฉะนั้น เพียรฝึกไปเรื่อยๆให้ตรงแก่น มีเป้าหมายไว้ในใจ (จะระดับไหนก็ตาม) แต่ระหว่างทางค่อยๆดูการเติบโตแบบไม่รีบร้อน ของตนเองไปเรื่อยๆ และ อย่าลืมวางในผล จะเดินทางถึงเป้าหมายโยคะได้ช้า หรือจะเดินทางถึงเป้าหมายโยคะได้เร็ว เราก็ไม่ว่ากัน แต่สำคัญตรงที่ว่า “ใครที่เห็นตัวเองอยู่ทุกขณะที่เดินต่างหาก คนนั้นหละได้ฝึกโยคะอยู่ตลอดเวลา” กาย ใจ ดี ชีวี มีสุข 🍃 🙏 My Peace Yoga ... I like exercises that have the word ‘power’ in it, like Power Clean + Jerk 💪 Another set of power c+J at 100kg, feeling a bit more comfortable with that weight. That followed with some lovely front squats at 130kg. And that followed with 1 hour of gymnastic focusing on muscle-ups. Finally got a preview of some of the classes I filmed for @move123virtual - - Not as bad as I thought they’d be! - - You’re always your own toughest critic and this statement has never been more true after viewing these videos. - - I tried filming my own videos for YouTube last week by myself but unfortunately I had the luxury of stopping every five minutes, looking back on the footage and judging the shit out of myself. - - When you’re filming for someone else... you just do it because that’s what you’re there to do. - - Where else can this thought process be applied in your life? How often do we put things off or procrastinate because we know we don’t ‘have’ to do them. Whereas, if you were at work... you’d do them no questions asked. - - Do everything as if you’re getting paid for it! Not only will you increase productivity 1000% but you’ll have much more self satisfaction knowing you didn’t spend countless hours putting off something you know you’ll end up doing eventually. - - Big thanks to @lisa_williams_moore for trusting me. Una vez hemos aprendido a enraizarnos, a estar estables y a construir nuestro centro, llegamos al segundo chakra, #Svadhisthana . Aquí se trata de sentir, producir, disfrutar, fluir y moverse. Esa fluidez, el movimiento, es estimulante, es expansión. Ahí tenemos la oportunidad de sacar a la luz emociones, sensaciones que permanecían ocultas, enterradas. Pasamos del elemento Tierra del primer chakra, al elemento Agua del segundo. Si nuestra Tierra no tiene una contención adecuada, puede ser que no retenga el agua y se disperse y se seque o todo lo contrario, que se quede demasiado atrapada y se estanque y se pudra. Cuando tenemos el recipiente adecuado, podemos ver su contenido y trabajar sobre el. Podemos reconocer los traumas, el deseo, las sombras, la culpabilidad, la sexualidad, etc. Sanando todo eso, podemos fluir y conectar cada vez más, sin ahogarnos y sin dejar que la corriente nos arrastre. We are spiritual being having a human experience. That sounds good but what exactly does that mean? Spirit means consciousness. Therefore, being a spiritual being simply means that we are consciousness inside of bodies. You are not your body, mind or past. Light is another word for knowledge of information. They say when we leave these physical shells we return back to our original state. Pure Consciousness. When we recognize the Light in others we recognize the Light in us.
