Fear has its way of keeping us quiet and small but my spirit animal reminds me to embody the energies of gentleness, sensitivity, innocence and keen observation. A beautiful blend of power and vulnerability that serves as a reminder to keep faith in myself and this process🌱🌞. There will always be wolves in the woods. Let them have no more of your time than absolutely necessary. Your peace and inner joy is THE ONLY way the world heals. Know that the world is truly healing, even if all you hear about are the casualties. The world is much too large to report on all the tiny, infinite moments of peace and harmony that are occurring everywhere, all the time. These wonderful Anatomy Hero workshops are aimed at yoga teachers, and dedicated yogi practitioners, to refresh and deepen anatomical knowledge, with the aim of teaching and practicing yoga safely.⠀⠀
The workshop will cover anatomical terms of movement (how the shoulders move), the muscles of the shoulders and their functions, before looking at how to safely increase shoulder strength, and range of motion.⠀⠀
* Starting with a grounding meditation to get in the learning zone⠀⠀
* Dive in to a short but effective Vinyasa Flow yoga session to explore – and feel – the movements of the shoulder joint⠀⠀

* A refresher of the shoulders: the type of joint and why this is important⠀⠀

I am a huge lover of props, unfortunately they have a bad rep with the ego! There’s a marked difference between USING props and TEACHING with props. I like to include these guys INTO my sequencing so that they become part of the flow where the whole class is using one, thereby making it a truly inclusive practice - not just for the props but also for the people✌️

Lass die Sonne in dein Herz ☀️❤️
Wir hatten dieses Jahr einen Jahrhundert Sommer und konnten die Sonne exzessiv geniessen. Derzeit kann man leider wenig davon sehen, das trübt doch ein wenig die Stimmung.
Gestern habe ich mich mit einer Schülerin unterhalten, sie sagte „Stephan, wir haben dieses Jahr so viel Sonne gehabt, das muss man jetzt mal aushalten.“
„Ja, das stimmt, aber wir Menschen sind so, wir bewerten lediglich den jetzigen Augenblick und das ist das was für uns am meisten zählt. Daher vergessen wir die guten Monate ganz schnell.“
Ist es wirklich so? Ich denke, dass wir uns an das Gute manchmal schwer erinnern, wenn der jetzige Augenblick „schlechter“ ist.
Wir sind dann zu oft an die Dinge gewöhnt und können dann aus der Situation nichts Besseres herausholen.
Ist das so etwas wie eine Art fehlende Wertschätzung? 🤔
Ist man undankbar, wenn man sich über das Wetter beschwert?
Wie wäre es im umgekehrten Sinne? Was wäre, wenn es der umgekehrte Fall wäre und wir jetzt endlich Sonne hätten? Könnte man dann die schlechten Monate vergessen?
Yoga lehrt uns den jetzigen Augenblick als das Wichtigste zu sehen.
Ich denke, dass wir alle nicht perfekt sind und dass uns beizeiten viel abverlangt wird.
