This is me trying to make a video for my therapy practice. I was going to talk about self-care. I’ve tried many, many times and ultimately concluded that, uhhhhhhmmmmmm, ME NOT TALK PRETTY SOMEDAY EVAAAARRR!!! 😂 I decided that even though I had some awesome stuff to say about self-care, the best self-care I could do for myself after all my attempts was to just STAHHHHP! ✋🏼Until (if ever) I figure out the video thing, I’ll just go with the excuse that “I’m too real for this shit.” 🤪 Seriously though, I just wanted to share the behind-the-scenes frustration, self-doubt, and imperfection that EVERYONE feels from time to time. It's ok. Feel it. Embrace it. And then carry on with your badass self.

Replace negative thoughts with empowering statements about your worth and value. You matter! You are lovable! You are important! You have purpose! Eagle Arm Stretch for your tight shoulders! 🦅 👉🏻 Little tip - don’t do all the shoulder workouts on one day! Three on a day or twice a day can be enough for your shoulder girdel. 👏🏼 Let’s get started! 1️⃣ Start today in child’s pose. Come for child’s pose to the end of your mat on your knees, bring your knees more than hip distance apart, let the big toes touch. Lengthen your back, neck long and as you breathe out deeply, you let your upper body sink above your tights. Let the forehead rest on the mat. Stretch you arms to the front. Roll now your shoulder blades up and down, let the arms rest on the mat. 😌 Stay here for a few deep breaths. Relax your shoulders. 2️⃣ Roll your upper body slowly up, head up at last. Breathe deep. Step one leg to the front and bring your hands on your tights. Soften the other leg behind you, knee on the mat, leg stretched and toes as a support on the mat. Let now first sink your hips heavily down. 👌🏻 3️⃣ Lenghten now your back, stretch the arms in the air, roll again the shoulders up and down and let the shoulders pinned down on your back. Chest open, head up high, neck long and relaxed. 😇 4️⃣ Bring both arms to the front and cross the left arm over the right arm, wrap your eagle arms to that you can grab your wrists or hands. 🙌🏻 (Round two is about the other leg to the front and arms wrapped in the different direction!) 💡 5️⃣ Now move the elbows up, so that they are in the front of your face and you feel a intense stretch in your shoulders and neck. Let now also sink your chin to your chest slightly and breathe deeply. This may be enough for some of you. Stay here for 10 deep breaths! Change sides. 6️⃣ If you want more sensation, lean back your body and let the hip sink deeper and bring your arms a bit higher, so that you also have here a backbend and hip opener! 7️⃣ Don‘t search a painful sensation - always go with a intense, maybe discomforting stretch, but please please please - love your body! 😌❤️ * * * Do your shoulders slightly feel better today? Summer Solstice (which was on the 21st) reminds me of spanda, the pulsation of life that we are always in. Summer Solstice marks the FULLNESS of this pulsation. The sunshine and daylight are at the peak as well as the flowers and activity of the animals. After this the sun starts to dissolve away until we are at the darkest part of the year, Winter Solstice and the sun is almost concealed before it starts to grow back to fullness. . ThE phases of pulsation are explained in the teaching of the five divine acts of Shiva: Revelation Creation Sustenance (fullness) Dissolution Concealment . We are always experiencing this pulsation: in the seasons, our breath, our life span, relationships, reading a book.... . We can see the five acts in our yoga asana practice as well. When we start our asana practice and we sit all the poses are concealed to within us. (Just like all the yoga asanas are concealed within you at this moment. Who knows you could have a revelation and bust out and create virabhadrasana two😍.) After sitting we get a revelation and our body and spirit guides us into a pose. Then we move into the pose and it gets created. As we use our muscular energy and work the five principles of Anusara yoga we maintain and sustain the pose. After we are done with the pose we begin to move out of it and the pose goes through dissolution. As we shift into another pose the previous pose like all others are concealed within us. . As we are in the fullness of the light I like to remind myself the darkness is coming. . Use this time of light to nourish your soul to carry you through the dark. . Every part of the pulsation is an invitation for remembering your deepest essence.

Пишу о йоге потому, что это основная сейчас моя деятельность. Не смотря на то, что вокруг миллион событий, в сердце откликов, а в сознании мыслей, просто нет времени написать об этом. А я знаю, что важно читать не просто сухой текст, а прожитий автором, именно в самой глубине... Но будет день - будет пища. Пока расскажу вам историю про позу, которую мы знаем как #шпагат , а на санскрите она называется #хануманасана 🌺Хануман — могущественный и отважный вождь обезьян. Он был сыном Бога ветра Ваю и Анджаны, другом и верным слугой Рамы (седьмого воплощения Вишну). Рама, его жена Сита и брат Лакшмана жили в изгнании отшельниками в лесу Дандака. Когда Рама и Лакшмана были на охоте, Равана, царь демонов с острова Ланка (Цейлон), явился в их пустынную обитель под видом аскета, схватил Ситу и унес ее на свой остров. Братья искали Ситу повсюду и, наконец, попросили помощи у Сугривы, царя обезьян, и его полководца Ханумана. Прыгая через проливы, Хануман пересек море в поисках Ситы, нашел ее во дворце Раваны и принес это известие Раме.  С помощью большой армии обезьян и медведей Рама построил из камней переход через море до острова Ланки, в яростной битве убил Равану и уничтожил его армию. Сита была спасена. В сражении Лакшмана был поражен стрелой и лежал без сознания, а вылечить его можно было только соком волшебной травы, которая росла в Гималаях. Огромным прыжком Хануман перепрыгнул море, добрался до Гималаев и вернулся с вершиной горы, на которой росла целебная трава. Так он спас жизнь Лакшманы. Эта #асана посвящена Хануману в память о его сказочных прыжках . . .
