Happy weekend #lyfetrybe
It seems like time is melting away and my days and weeks recently have been a complete blur. Staying sane and healthy while your schedule is packed can be challenging, but I always say that everything is about habits and priorities. It takes as long to order and wait for a take-away when you “have no time to cook” as it takes to put a delicious healthy meal together. Yes, the latter requires a little bit more effort, but it’s your own well-being we’re talking about here, so the choice is yours.
Here is my current food diary (Part l):
Currently, my favourite breakfast is coconut yoghurt bowls with with grainless granola. It takes a minute to throw some blueberries or raspberries in, sprinkle some cinnamon and raw cocoa and mix it all up. It surely doesn’t look as fancy as the bowl above, but my aim at 6-7 am is to nourish my body. A mix of ~10 different ingredients (including all the different nuts and seeds in the granola) supply my gut with plenty of fiber, which creates the perfect environment for the good gut bacteria to thrive and keep me healthy holistically. Before you ask where is the protein in my breakfast, the same nuts and seeds are a great source, while the fats in them keep me full until 11am or so.
At 11-ish I have a snack which is usually a coconut kefir milk or kombucha (probiotics to feed the little buddies in the gut once again), or a protein shake with cashew or almond milk and a plant-based protein powder.
Since instagram caption space is clearly not designed for essays, I will share what I’m currently loving for lunches and dinners (Part ll) under my next post.
In the meantime, don’t forget to add turmeric and ginger into your daily diet, as this time when the weather changes is when most people get colds! 🙅🏼♀️
Blackberry and cacao smoothie bowl full of so much good stuff and a sticky date caramel - for a Friday treat!
The breakfast poll was 50/50 when I got up so went with a smoothie bowl!
1 chilled banana
2 large table of coconut yoghurt
1 tbsp of cacao powder
Splash of oat mylk
Blend until smooth
Topped with mixed seeds, vanoffee chocolate chunks @therawchocolatecompany

Behold, the world's ugliest pancakes! Despite their sad appearance, they did fulfil my pancake craving, which came out of nowhere, honestly. Considering the fact I probably make pancakes about twice a year, I think their shape is not that bad at all, seeing I'm out of practice and all that. Still, it doesn't change the fact they are quite ugly 😂 I added some yoghurt and bits to my bowl for a substantial meal, as a banana, egg and some egg whites won't be enough even for a rat 😜

I have always been an incredible shy kid. Still I am just really a very shy person by nature. I don’t limit myself by my initial tendency, but I still feel really itchy and uncomfortable whenever I say hi.
I remember not daring to look girls in their eyes till I was 14 😅. Yup, I might have made it allllll my way through primary school without it. Maybe that’s the reason math was so attractive, it didn’t want me to look girls in the eye. Honestly, I’m not sure I dared to go to the store alone before I turned 12 or 13 🤔. It seems funny now, but it surely wasn’t funny back then.
However, it’s also more recently. My first year at Traffic Builders, I was dead scared of calling my clients. Quite an annoying fear when your job is to advice people and you are scared of talking to them 😉. Not 100% over that fear yet, but 2018 is definitely the year with the most calls of my life.
My current intention is to say hi more often and in slightly uncomfortable situations. Not as in, saying hi to someone wrestling a bear on Greenland uncomfortable, but more like saying hi to someone in the elevator at work, the shopping mall, the gym, or at CrossFit.

was causing me bother - technology ey?) Now I've gotta catch up on all the vegan eats, starting with this... A big bowl of yoghurt topped with all the goods. Who else is a massive fan of toppings? Sometimes I get so carried away, I forget what's underneath.
