Ängste in Stärke umwandeln? •

We’re in the last module of our 300-Hour year long training. Like anything that has seen the span of a year, it’s unrealistic to think that none of us has changed. Sitting together, practicing together, and learning together, we have witnessed each other grow, expectedly and unexpectedly over this year. It’s been beautiful having a community to return to that allows us the space to share, reflect, and process. I’m going to miss this group of brilliant teachers and I’m so grateful for their loving hearts. Thank you ❤️ We posed this question to them yesterday, and we thought to share it with you:
How do you see the evolution of this last year manifesting into your work and life?
and I would love to hear. Comment below. Let’s be a community. 📷 by the amazing @robertsturman

The Spiritual Significance of Autumn Equinox in Our Modern Lives.
The changing seasons are key points in the cycle of life in nature, and within this cycle many ancient cultures perceived a powerful deeper message for humanity.
The significance of the Autumnal Equinox for the person walking the spiritual path is the time of year where we activate our new growth cycle. As we become silent and rest we are allowing space for our greater vision to emerge.
As the days get shorter and the nights grow longer, we descend into the darkness of the night and face our own inner darkness—the darkness within, i.e. the ego and the subconscious—to prepare for the birth of the Light within, celebrated at the winter solstice.

After a week of almost no pain in my hip, which was quite frankly miraculous, I'm back to being in some pain . Not exactly the same pain, but still some pain inhibiting my movement. Injuries are a bit like a yoga practice. You have good days where you can do poses easily and bad days where you just can't manage the same poses. With injury you have days with more pain and days with less pain. I'm totally ok with that, it's part of the process. I just need to be sure that when I'm having a pain free day/week, i'm still very conscious and carefull and staying connected to by body to be sure I don't aggravate the injury.
Is injury management interesting for you? Would you like to learn more about how I'm trying to heal myself?

Currently not handstanding...Sitting on the sofa watching the bodyguard whilst doing some gentle shoulder exercises as I injured it 2 week’s ago. Been able to maintain yoga practice by doing some slow standing sequences with my arms by my side. Practising self compassion making kind adjustments and also listening to my body which is clearly shouting “slow down polly” and then not so helpfully mourning over handstand photos 😂

Pour bien commencer la semaine ☝🏼🙏🏼 Osteo Yoga et Osteo Yin ce soir 18h45 et 20h 🧘🏼♂️ (Planning en ligne !)
Over the last couple of weeks I have really been confronted by all the benefits I have gained in my life from my daily yoga practice. How much my life has changed since I started my consistent practice. Now, I am not saying that you have to practice an hour of Yoga (asana) every day to be able to enjoy these benefits. I have days where I skip my practice or just squeeze in a 10 - 20 minute practice. But, because of a hip injury I have been advised to completely stop my usual practice all together. At least for a while now. To allow my body to rest and heal itself. My usual practice being my Vinyasa practice. Where I flow completely in sync with the rhythm of my breath. Where I work, sweat and push through my limitations and shut of my mind. Because the only way for me to get through certain postures is to arrive completely inside my body and let go of all my thoughts.
As I let go of my practice over the weeks. Slowly I noticed old habits and patterns creeping their way back into my life. Not being aware of my emotions and becoming completely overwhelmed by them at times, leading to anxiety. Anxiety is something I have been dealing with for many years, as I think a lot us of are. So now I am returning and diving into my first love of Yoga, my Restorative Yoga practice. Which has helped me work through the worst years of my anxiety, dealing with loss and grief. Like an old friend. So instead of pushing my limitations, I'll be working on honouring those limitations. Thanking my body for it's limits, for protecting me, for carying me. Asking its forgiveness, for all the times I didn't listen. ❤️🙏🏽

I don't know who you'll be but I know you'll be my everything - no matter what life throws at us 💛
I spent much of this past weekend in a reunion with these two gorgeous souls Annka and Sarah who joined me in circle a little over a year ago... only this time I got to share space and presence with their beautiful sons as well.
And I was gifted with witnessing these women in their realness and grace and tenderness as mothers, which is so special. And I was gifted with falling a little (lot!!) in love with these two boys, who found and brought us feathers from the shores of Lake Atitlan as we sipped coffee. The all of us pulled more Angel cards than I can count.
We talked. We talked more. We played. We drank wine. We teared. We laughed. We lingered. We danced. We sat around fire. There was even a Mayan Fire ceremony thrown in the mix.
Their two sons do not speak the same languages. They adventured all weekend together. And by the end, they made their own language, not the least of which was laughter.
Sarah said it was like a mini-retreat. Whatever fills the heart, whatever warms it up and makes everything feel expansive, that's what I'm gonna call it. Thank you for gracing me with your presence all over again. Thank you for letting me meet you, Milan and Ezekiel. I adore you all.
