The passing storm on a Fall afternoon
Nature is constantly showing me things in a different light and making me wonder if I’ll ever be able to see the same thing again.
El Capitan - Yosemite NP
Yosemite Winter Storm Black and White No.1 - I took this shot in Yosemite Valley about twenty minutes after official sunset and about an hour after the sun dipped below the rim of the valley. For those of you that don't already know, I am a native of Yosemite National Park and was born about a mile from where I took this shot. Lewis Memorial Hospital is now a clinic operated by some HMO, when back in the day it was a fully staffed hospital with two doctors and a dentist there year round. I was lucky enough to be born in Yosemite as my father was a Park Ranger. Unfortunately, I did not grow up in the park as my parents divorced when I was quite young. Fortunately, almost every member of my mom's family worked in Yosemite, with my maternal grandmother working there for fifty-three years, so I spent a lot of time in the park when I was younger. #YosemiteNationalPark #YosemiteValley #YosemiteWinterStorm #CanonCamera #SigmaLens #WinterStorm #SnowCoveredTrees #BNW #YosemiteBlackandWhite #MariposaCounty #BlackandWhite #CanonProfessional #DouglasBawdenPhotography #ProfessionalLandscapePhotography #Landscape #WinterWonderland #YosemiteSnow #YosemiteWeddingPhotographer #YosemiteWeddingPhotography
Tunnel View at Yosemite... seems we stop there daily, and still marvel at the view. I found myself shooting more black & white shots than ever before this trip.
