..Why fit in when you were born to stand out...
🌻One of my favourite quotes.🌻
Explains alot on how we should live our lives... instead of trying to fit in with the crowd by wearing what they wear or doing what they do be your own person and just do You. Xox
When I first had anxiety / panic attacks I was sure my life was going to be just that for the rest of my life. Scared to leave the house, feeling stupid and not good enough because that’s what my brain was telling me.
Eventually I realised it wasn’t going to be that way for the rest of my life and I started to get my anxiety under control. I found a group of people who showed me they had been where I was and have changed their lives and now live the life they want and deserve! I have heard a lot of people’s stories and can honestly say your life can change if you want it to. It won’t be easy to do but it will be worth it!
Your in control of your story and how it will end up 😊

How good would it be to always succeed? You know it's totally possible to be a success all the time. All you need to do is change the rules.
Changing the rules doesn't mean you need to lower your standards. Success is still success if you merely achieve your target.
However failure always has an aroma that some people cannot shake. And I'm not taking about others judging them. I'm referring to an individual judging themselves by their failure and not the effort they put in.
Imagine changing the rules of the game you are playing in life. The new rule is "I get to fail 10 times". And after failing 10 times you change the rules to accommodate even more failure provided you are learning and adapting your technique.
If you have the patience and can forgive yourself enough I guarantee you will not only learn how to succeed but you WILL SUCCEED!
If you need help defining your rules so you succeed more often send me a DM.

The Magic of life /
Being Bullied is probably not as funny as my friends thought it was. According to them, that’s how you become friends; also that’s how it is shown in movies. The very first incident that I can remember is when I was in class 2 and my bullies were in 4th class. They probably found pouring juice bottle all over my head, throwing me down and then stamping all over me, really funny. They continued to do it as the little I cried and begged them to not to spoil my new, pink bag.
The second incident happened when I refused to offer chocolates to those guys, on my birthday and they broke my nose in return.
In 6th standard, I was a huge kid and those senior boys would often call me names like buffalo and would tell me how I occupied two seats as I sat and what not. As a result, I began starving myself and wouldn’t eat until I would actually faint at times.
Everything that was happening around me, made me very suicidal and insecure about myself. There was a time when I used to have nightmares about everything wrong that was happening in my life – the bullying, the sexual assault, and everything else.
I would have most probably ended my life until one day when I came across the story of Cassidy Trevan. She was a perfect girl – beautiful and adorable and yet she was bullied and she ultimately committed suicide. She let her bullies have the best of herself. Her mother is still fighting for her because she was dead to do that on her own, whereas I was still alive. I could have fought for myself. I suddenly felt lucky.
I have come a long way from not wanting to go to school, faking sickness and being immensely under confident about my own self to learning to fight today. I am still scared of my bullies and trusting people is still a challenge, but I am learning and building myself. It’s weird but the same guy who used to make fun of me, ended up asking me out, once.
Life has its own ways and is often more eccentric than we can ever think of it. Despite everything that still makes me melancholic; I believe that I will have a happy ending, because that’s how life is. /

“I think it shows pretty much what we are at the moment….close and sticking together”
Photos tell stories, but not always whole stories…. Karli, Eden and Harper tragically lost the most important man in their world just weeks ago, Karli selflessly reached out to see if I could capture a photo of them to go on Thank You cards. For in their time of overwhelming grief they have learnt just how much Ant touched others, how much people cared for not just him, but them also and how kind people are and can be.
Life can be heartbreaking so hug your loved ones close, say “I love you” to those who matter, treasure the everyday moments, smile and say hello to people, give when you can, invite people out, check in with people, - together we can help ease each others pain a little.
I'm collecting stories. Tell me (and the world) something amazing about you, here in the comments, or in the question thingo on Stories. Tell me something i can, and *should* share.

Sometimes it’s about undoing.
My beautiful Uber diver today is also a singer songwriter and I feel grateful to have just met her. So warm and kind. We talked about music. She shared with me a story about how she went to music school and her teacher told her to give it up and that she shouldn’t be singing and doing music. That she loves her family dearly but they also didn’t believe in her passion. Not until now.... she’s undoing these stories and negative thoughts we all easily carry that aren’t even ours. We are not our thoughts but boy can they be overwhelming at times. I’ve been praying asking for signs.. to meet more kind musicians and people. To trust and be guided in this new chapter. I know I was suppose to meet her today. Her experience is so relatable. I experienced something similar as a kid growing up with what they call a learning disability but really I just learned a different way then the majority of kids. And I had teachers that said horrible things to me and I had incredible teachers that never gave up on me. This is just a reminder to check in and think about any stories or experiences that we might carry that do not serve or help us to be the best version. I know this post is long lol. But I’m grateful to have met Veronica today.

What story do you tell?
"People always ask to hear my story and I honestly don't know which one to tell. There are just too many. And I feel that people want to condense us into one story when we are made of way too many. I know I am.
I am a compilation of all these stories, as are you.
This was from my last speaking engagement. It's part of a much longer poem. I will upload a 3 minute clip to my YouTube channel today. YouTube.com/najwazebian ❤ Credit to @najwazebian

There are thousands of souls on 🔥 now and we are surely blazing a trail!
Do you ever think about your legacy?
Heavy stuff, I know. 🙃
I think that is one reason (of the multitude) that I research a family’s story. In the story lies the legacy.
I hope my legacy will be that I was kind. I had a good sense of humor. Also, that I wanted others to know their family’s story in an intimate way.
For it is in the knowing of where you come from (in what has lingered) that we can fully understand and truly be in the present.
Tell me, what is your family’s legacy? 💜
