Mood..When someone who has no formal education in nutrition starts running their mouth about what and what not to eat....or more importantly, how to diet 🤦♀️. .
There is so much nutrition information out there. Some of those “claims” being blasted around are from flawed science and the concept becomes more complex when taking into account humanity. .
. Who has heard that “sugar is more addictive than cocaine”? Or “intermittent fasting resets your system”? If you’re someone who believes this, then you might want to cover your ears because this is where I tell you those claims are bullshit. Those studies were performed in rats. And, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go ahead and assume you’re a human. .
. Sugar is not addictive and definitely not as “addictive as cocaine”. Do you sit down and uncontrollably eat an entire bowl of pure sugar like it’s crack? Does your “detox” from sugar require medical supervision and treatment to monitor seizure and risk of death like it does for heroine? Or even alcohol? No. It doesn’t. That does not happen. Because sugar itself is not addictive. .
Yes, sugar plays on the oxytocin pathway. Because eating (should be) pleasurable... its what keeps us alive. Wanna know what else hits that oxytocin pathway? Cuddling and puppies. Cuddling feels good but it’s not addictive. Puppies are adorable. But they are not addictive. .
If you’re feeling confused right now because you’re convinced you have a sugar “addiction” because of you feel that regular sugar craving that comes around at 2pm everyday. I can guarantee that there is something else going on... like a hormone imbalance or stress or restrictive eating behavior and your body is actually just in need of energy/ nutrients.
.Blasting those claims are harmful. It creates that idea that food is bad. It creates disordered eating. And it’s all from a study that was done... in rats. .
Look to get your nutrition information from nutrition professionals... you know, the people who went to school for years to study all aspects of the science.

I hope those of y’all who annually give the thanks rocked it hard this year. I have been lucky enough to be invited to some brilliant Thanksgiving suppers in recent years, and the look of panic on the Brits’ faces (mine included) when it comes to going round the table and offering thanks is always effing priceless. 🎃 🥧🧡 Oh and this is a card in my Etsy shop, I almost forgot that bit.

This is the first pumpkin pie I’ve ever made and I’m feeling pretty proud of myself because it’s a sight for sore eyes...Evidently my 6 month old did not approve of my extra time in the kitchen...so it took me 4 hours to make. But I prospered and VOILA, I am now the queen of pumpkin pies.
HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY TO MY NONNO! White choc, hazelnut, and coconut mud cake with layers of fresh cream and buttercream icing, decorated with fresh fruit, poached pears, and white wine reduction drip!😱 I had so much fun experimenting with nonno’s faves for this one! Cheers to @fab_laser

My healthy guilt free blueberry cheesecake 👅 (macros to be entered soon) I need to remake and track a bit closer as I wasn't expecting it to turn out so alright the first time round (ye smug, sorry) 😂
What I did? I replaced your standard biscuit base with 200g blended walnuts, a reasonable dolop of coconut oil and a hefty amount of golden syrup. (See what I mean about the macros now hahah) I then topped this with a beautiful tub of total zero greek yogurt and decorated it with a couple handfuls of crushed blueberries and some extra for cuteness🤷♀️ All in about an hours graft. 🕧
So there you have it a high protein dessert that means your weekends don't have to be a complete blow out.

Developers are wanting to cut down now non protected forests in australia nsw qld to mAke big bucks clear the land what so they can buy clothes have a shiny car they can have a million bucks but if you think paper is worth more than a animals habitat and life you can have all the money in the world but your soul is trash and you are garbage. Australia has gone so far downhill since 2007 for people wages gone down prices sky high most jobs causal no longer part time and full time across most industries and the government cant even have a pm without it being musical chairs.
