At around 3:30 Friday morning I hit the road with a vague plan. As I continued north on I-15 through Victorville I re-molded my already malleable plans.
Instead of north, I went east on I-40 at Barstow. Without any real plan the brown signs were my friend.
caught my eye. I’d been through #Flagstaff
enough times, I’m surprised I hadn’t stopped yet. Little did I know that led right into #WupatkiNM
Headed toward #PageAZ
I took a detour to #NavajoBridge
The next morning I stopped at the under construction #HorseshoeBend
. Out of curiosity I stopped at #LeesFerry
which turned into half my day, but I’m not complaining.
Not really sure what my next move was, I planned on going to #ZionNPS
. That turned into camping just outside the park boundary.
The next morning, #ZionNP
ended up just being a quick drive through since I was hungry and went to breakfast. That’s when I thought of #DeathValley
So from UT through NV and into CA I went. #DeathValleyNPS
was great and I will definitely be back since I barely scratched the surface! As the sun set I made my way home in a roundabout way that included dinner in Lone Pine and didn’t get home til 11:30.
All in all I drove 1456 miles through parts of four states, seeing lots of cool things and making some mental notes of potential video fodder.
