To Lucerne, with love ❤️ I am finally moving to Lucerne! I fell in love with this city instantly. When i moved to Switzerland from Singapore, i had imagined living in a picturesque city like Lucerne. Finally, i have my new apartment and moving. Wow!! What an adventure it has been to be able to move. Next adventure would be decorating and settling in.
Hope you're having a good Sunday. All I've been doing is browse home furnishings sites and adding stuff to my wishlist. 😁😍 Xoxo
Spa time!!! Oh how much we enjoy going to the spa in this cold winter. To be able to enjoy a hot jacuzzi while enjoying the magnificent snow capped swiss alps!!
This is an indulgence we allow ourselves every once in a while. Work hard and play hard right?
What's your indulgence?
Why can't it be weekend already!!
Being back in the office after a long break has been hard on the system. Especially when you're still living out of a suitcase. Phew... Also the mirror isn't dirty, I'm trying this new Dust and Scratch effect.. Haha
Hope you had a great day! Thursday is the new Friday!
This baby arrived yesterday. I'm super excited for this coz the amazing reviews and also coz I've been using the Profiltr foundation since its launch. I'm in shade 260.
The other amazing thing about this is that if you know your foundation shade, your concealer shade is the same number. The concealer is of course lighter than the foundation which makes it a perfect combination. I got the concealer in 260 to conceal anf 235 to highlight. So far the shade match is perfect!! I got the profiltr setting powder in Banana as it is a universal medium tone setting powder for just the right amount of under eye highlight.
I'm doing a wear test and will post it on my stories for the full 15 hour wear. Stay tuned!
This one's from the lovely wedding reception dinner that my parents hosted for @acrodirki
This evening was beautiful, on a rooftop cocktail bar that served the most amazing cocktails and scrumptious food. I think it's safe to say we didn't leave looking the way we do in this picture.

Throwback to the weekend that was every bit perfect after the super hectic weekends in India.
Massage at Thai Smile in Kriens (available on Treatwell) is possibly the best Thai massage I've had outside of Thailand (i lived in Singapore for a few years and travelled a lot to Thailand)
So if you're in the mood for trying the Thai style of deep muscle and tissue therapy which is slightly painful but leaves you feeling like a feather, then book yourself an hour of bliss at Thai Smile.
Back in the mountains. ❤️ Such a gorgeous day today. Snow all around and the sun glistening through. Perfect start to the weekend.
I plan to relax after the hectic trip over the holidays and looking forward to my massage tomorrow.
What are you doing?
I hope you had a marvellous Christmas full of love and laughter!!! And lots of spirit. ❤️ Xoxo
Walking into the Christmas mood like what... Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ❤️❤️❤️ Xoxo
The nooks and crannies of Zurich pack the most delight at this time of the year. ❤️ Have you done your holiday shopping yet? I am still scrambling. I hope i can get it all done ASAP!! Xoxo

Can we please talk about baggie blazers and how much i love them.
I'll be honest i need work clothes to be comfy as pjs. I mean you have to spend a whole 8 hrs in them. The term "Work wear" always frightens most coz we think of suits, pencil dress that need spanx, etc etc.
Also being plus size has it's challenges in finding great work wear that won't need reinforcements to look great all day. Therefore i have made boyfriend blazers my best friends. I throw them on over dresses, jeans and tee, or in this casr over leather pants and black tank.
Rules to choosing a blazer for a curvy body:
1. Shoulders shoulders shoulders. Make sure that the shoulders fit even if it is a baggy blazer
2. Length should be just right below the butt. The long silhouette will give an illusion of height.
3. Play with patern. While a black blazer is classic it is also over done.
4. Don't be afraid of bold colors.
I hope these tips helped you. 😘
If you've not seen the singing Christmas tree in Zurich yet this season. Then head on down to town this evening and witness the most magical thing Zurich offers every holiday season.
There are just no words to express how joyful the vibe is when the choir starts. People stop everything they're doing and are completely enthralled.
Top recommendation for this time of the year. 😍
I love this time of the year... With its Christmas markets and decorations and make shift bars that sell hot wine in the freezing cold.
I chanced upon this one last night in Stadelhofen. The colors are beautiful and Artistry is magnificent 😍
Hope you're enjoying the sights as much as me
Stay warm and carry on!!! We will soon be having snow. At least that's what the weather app says... Also how cool that i found this fleece lined parka for a bargain at @hm
it is warm and weather proof.
Is just me or have the hashtags stopped working?! Engagement is at an all time low.. Anywho! Someone will figure it out.

This time last year I had the amazing opportunity to drive through most of Germany thanks to my husband, who took it upon himself to introduce me to Germany traditions over the holidays and Christmas.
I fell in love with Dresden. This picture is by Sebastian Rose and i wish i had taken it. I am reposting this as this is truly a magnificent picture of the market and Dresden's crowing glory!! Hope you're enjoying this time of the year as much as I am.
To Luzern, with love.
Every expat i have met in Switzerland has always said that Luzern is one of the prettiest small city in CH. It truly is.
Even on a gloomy, rainy day it was absolutely delightful.
What is the name of the mountain in the background? Anyone knows?
Staples to get us through the week.
I hope your Monday wasn't too manic and it's all smooth sailing today.
Have a good week.
Window display that takes my breath away.
It's 01-Dec and time for the fairy tram to do it's rounds...!!
I've only experienced the real magical feeling of Christmas after i moved to Zurich.
This place just lights up, metaphorically and literally, during this time. The Christmas markets are set up, streets are full of people trying to rush to do their Christmas shopping, sales, discounts, sparkles, tinsel, baubles everything.
Hope you have a great holiday season! I'm currently torturing my husband with holiday music.
Thank God it's Friday!!! So eat a donut 😋
Hope you have a wonderful Friday.
I plan to go to the Lucerne Christmas markets this evening. I think it's time to get some mulled wine, honey toasted almonds and Christmas spirit.
I love this time of the year 😍😍😍
Tell me your favourite thing about Christmas or winters in general ❤️ Xoxo
It's late afternoon and I'm dreaming of my bed. So much for adventure! I wish adults had nap time as well scheduled into their day.
On another note, there was time i would drink way too much coffee. My anxiety and stress were at another level!! I could sleep for more than 3-4 hrs and if i didn't drink the coffee i felt i couldn't function.
This taught me the art of balance. I went to an extreme that i had to see a doctor coz i nevrr thought it could be the coffee. But it was. It was mental that i drank 3 espressos before 10 AM on a work day.
I still drink coffee a lot but decaffeinated.
How are you adventures going? Btw this isn't my pic it's an inspo pic i found. So due credit to whoever is the owner. I just don't know who!
Review - Olaplex treatment!
First. Let's just admire the great color job done on my hair by @work___by___dg
I have the best experience every time I go to them.
Talking about Olaplex. I don't know what the hype about Olaplex is but i know for sure that it's worth it.
Before the treatment - my hair was dry at the ends, looked lifeless, fried due to curling and ironing, thinning at the ends.
After the treatment - the hair was instantly frizz free, smoother and interestingly fuller.
100% recommended however it is a pricey treatment for something that lasts only a few washes.
Let me know if you have got this done below in the comments.
The lady and the sphinx!
I've never had the patience to wander through museums. But I've still been to the Louvre twice! I have to admit though i still haven't covered everything in there. You need days to really see and admire all the exhibits.
I'm reminiscing the summer gone by watching the snow/rain from the gray skies.
I'm in the middle of moving, settling into a new environment and haven't been feeling like myself lately. I miss doing the makeup videos!! It's all packed away in storage while i travel and wait to move into my apartment in January. Ugh!! Ok. Rant over.
There are somethings that make you pause for second and take in the sights.
Lucerne has such beautiful architecture that everywhere you look there is an instagramable site. I took this one just by the Rathaus Brewery. Not only that the building is beautiful, it also serves some great brews and sumptuous meals.
I'm glad i captured this moment. Hope you have a great start to the week.
Throwback to a gorgeous day in Paris!
We were lucky to have a sunny few days in late August. Somehow this picture got lost among the millions of selfies i have in my gallery.
I am spending my Sunday looking at pictures from the summer as i sip my coffee reminiscing about the year that went by. I guess this time of year does that to you.
Hope you're having a good Sunday.
💔I feel nothing like I look in this picture today. I'm sad and hurt about how being from a "third nation" can restrict your movement and living conditions in Switzerland. I'm sure the residency rules in Switzerland have a reason for being the way they are but I'm just disappointed about inflexibility in certain cases.
The situation that I'm in - i married an EU citizen in Switzerland with a full background check by the Zivilstandsamt. However since I'm non EU, i can't just live with my husband (based in another canton) I have to ask for permission by the authorities by writing a letter to them urging to allow me to live my husband. Once approved I'm supposed to supply them with a plethora of financial documents including a declaration that they are allowed to run a polizei check on me. This is after I've already legally entered the country on a work permit granted by the authorities before I physically moved.
The intention of this post is not to attack or criticise the rules and regulations. It's just to share that it's breaking my heart each day living away from my husband. I already moved here leaving behind my friends and family back. I can't bear to be another day alone.
I hope you're having a better weekend than mine. 💔
