Congratulations to Halley Ruppel ’18 PhD and Marjorie Funk ‘84 MSN, ‘92 PhD, whose study on “Testing physiologic monitor alarm customization software to reduce alarm rates and improve nurses’ experience of alarms in a medical intensive care unit” has been published in the peer-reviewed open access journal PLOS ONE. Dr. Lois Sadler ‘79 MSN, PhD and Dr. Jessica Coviello ‘82 MSN, DNP were honored at the Connecticut Nurses’ Association’s annual Diamond Jubilee Awards dinner on October 10th. These prestigious awards represent the highest honors the profession can bestow in Connecticut. Dr. Sadler received the Virginia Henderson Award in recognition of her contributions to nursing research through the Minding the Baby home visitation program for vulnerable young families. Dr. Coviello was awarded the Florence Wald Award for her outstanding achievements in nursing practice, and was the first APRN hired at the Hospital of St. Raphael in 1982. #yale #aprn #mindingthebaby #diamondjubileeawards #nurseeducators
