It's been a while since I've posted any underwater photos. I've been stuck on land since Vertical Blue being a crazy busy person. After months of being dry in the city, I finally am back! In the beautiful waters of Colombia, no less.
Pictured is Carlos Correa (@clubdelphinus
) , my friend and fellow freediver. He's hosting me here and proudly showing me his home, Santa Marta. A short bus ride brings us to the small town of Taganga where we take a boat to Tayrona National Park. The water is warm and blue. Part of the scenery is reminiscent of Besson's "Le Grand Bleu" and part is reminiscent of the gulleys you see on the coasts of the Hawaiian Islands. It's a special place indeed.
I chose this as the first photo I post from this trip because my mind is still a bit divided between the land and water worlds.
More underwater shots to come ;)

This is @sayalokahi
She is Saiko! Saya... SAYAIKO! New nickname invented!
Not only is she a great safety diver, but she spent all evening inputing results, talking with judges and doing administrative work while keeping a smile and positive attitude the entire time. She's a damn hard worker, like her partner @roboato
I captured her playing around during one of the breaks - she didn't even know I was shooting!
Saya and Berto - hope you both are well!

Shout out to my favourite 12 year old at Vertical Blue 😜
Umbi is the son of safety diver and pro chef @gianfrancomontanti
. He joined us old and busy men and women everyday and everynight. This waterman was always in good spirits and making everyone laugh and smile.
Did I mention he's a damn good diver and spearo?! Ladies, beware!
Miss you Umbertini! You made everything more fun!

Happy Birthday 🍌ko!!! 🤪🧜🏻♀️💦🌕🦈🐷🐬🤪
Day 6 is a wrap.
It was an emotional day for everyone. The day ended with beautiful tribute to Stephen Keenan.
I was thinking of tagging everyone in this photo, but there are quite literally too many, which is a testament to the amount lives he had touched.
You know who you are.
