Listening to this song reminded me of the most perfect moment at Swarg Ashram in Rishikesh, bathing in the sunlight in green fields full of wild flowers and about 50 different species of butterflies fluttering all around us @snappertrav 🦋

I don’t know if you have heard, but there’s an amazing new space in Ponsonby @sala_akl opening next week! SALA is a class based gym that includes a line up of Aucklands most incredible and talented instructors (I can say this as I know most of them personally or have been their student!) and you’ll find Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, Resistance, kettlebells and Dance Cardio all here for you to sweat and have fun with. I’ll be at SALA every Friday teaching 4.30pm Resist and 5.30pm Yin Yoga. We start next Thursday after labour weekend on the 25th October. They can come along for the whole term, or just drop in. Wee ones 4-8 years at 4-4.45pm and Kids 9-12 years at 5-6pm. Looking out to the distance with a fresh new outlook 🌿 SPRING has finally sprung. A time to plant seeds for future harvest, make new plans, set your direction and move forward. The earth teaches us it’s time to grow upwards towards the light, just as young, green plants sprout above the ground away from the dark with upward energy. Move in harmony with nature and you will be rewarded. 🌱
Today I woke up feeling meh. We all have ‘meh’ days, so this weeks theme for class naturally is acceptance... acceptance of your current state and granting yourself space to be in it. For me it always seems as though magic prevails through Yoga, as today, like many other days, I was the teacher, but I was also being taught. ✨ #yogamagic

HEY MAMA’S 👋🏼 Next Sunday 9th September I’ll be starting a six week Pregnancy Yoga course at ❤️ I’m so excited to hold space for all the beautiful mums to be. This will be every Sunday for six weeks at 6.30pm. You can drop in casually for $25 or commit to the full course for $115. You will not regret investing in this time for you and baby ❤️ . Pregnancy Yoga is a beautiful practice that is tailored specifically to the growing prenatal form and the changes that the body undergoes during this time. Pregnancy Yoga is not just about stretching out the tired body, It is a special time just for you, to create space and prepare in a mindful way for baby’s arrival. It is a time where you can observe, be in the moment and connect to your growing baby. In this six week course we will focus on building strength in preparation for birth and relieving tension that commonly arises throughout pregnancy, like back aches and tired hips. We will also work on helpful breathing techniques through pranayama, and eliminate stress and anxiety with specific guided meditation and relaxation. There will also be time to connect with your fellow mama-to-be class mates and form relationships that could last beyond your practice together on the mat. Pregnancy Yoga is best practiced once entering your second trimester, and also make sure you have clearance from your doctor even though this is a very specific and gentle practice. .
