A seed grows with no sound but a tree falls with huge noise. Destruction has noise, but creation is quiet. This is the power of silence. Grow silently.
Dear Me, Don’t ever give up on yourself. This life is going to challenge you and knock you down, but you can never give up. When you feel like you’ve given it all and there’s nothing left, remember your power. You are the creator of your own reality. Your current situation is not your final destination. Remember who you are. Keep dreaming, keep fighting, keep growing, keep learning and most importantly, never give up.
“Fail early, fail often, but always fail forward.” ————————————————————————You know, it’s always a little bit frustrating to me when people have a negative relationship with failure. Failure is a massive part of being able to be successful. You have to get comfortable with failure. You have to actually seek failure, failure is where all of the lessons are. You know, when you go to the gym and you workout, you’re actually seeking failure, you want to take your muscles to the point where you get to failure, because that’s where the adaptation is, that’s where growth is. Successful people fail a lot, they fail a whole lot more than they succeed, but they extract the lessons from the failure and they use the energy and they use the wisdom to come around to the next phase of success. You gotta take a shot. You have to live at the edge of your capabilities. You gotta live where you’re almost certain you’re going to fail. That’s the reason for practice, practice is controlled failure, you’re getting to your limit. You can’t live that, you can’t do that, until you get to the point that all of a sudden your body makes the adjustment and then you can do it. Failure actually helps you to recognize the areas where you need to evolve. So fail early, fail often, fail forward. ————————————————————————📸: @kristinacrown
In the end it’s not the years in your life that counts; it’s the life in your years.
“Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world.” -Jim Carey
Inspirational speaker Alexander den Heijer said, “You often feel tired not because you’ve done too much, but because you’ve done too little of what sparks a light in you.” If you jump into a creative project that speaks to you, you suddenly have the energy to work well into the night.  If you meet that special someone, you could talk for hours and feel re-energized the next morning.  If you receive an award for a job well done, you could run on empty for days just on the happiness and fulfillment you feel. We need to keep that spark inside us alive and burning bright. Life happens.  Things don’t go our way.  We panic and struggle.  We look around at the world and wonder, “How do they not see that I’m sinking and drowning?  How do they not see that I’m an imposter and don’t know what I’m doing?” Those thoughts drain us and make us tired.  Too tired to focus on what our soul needs which is creativity, inspiration, acceptance and peace. Fill your cup today with things that make you smile.  Take a chance.  Believe in yourself.  Follow where your heart leads.  And see what happens.  You might not be sure where you’re going, but the one thing you won’t feel is tired.
There’s a saying that goes, “You are the average of the FIVE people you spend the most time with”. Now many people will DENY this fact but research shows we are much more affected by our environment and those around us than we would like to believe. The people around you MATTER. There’s another old saying that goes “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are”. This is true based on the law of averages and logic, which assumes you surround yourself with INTENTION. Either with the intention to remain the same or the intention to push yourself to another level. You should ALWAYS surround yourself with people that push each other to be the best versions of themselves. Surround yourself with people that understand, when you win the whole team wins. Lately I’ve been VERY careful on WHAT and WHO I spend my time with. I started to not hang out with certain people or do certain things because I felt like it didn’t serve me for the better. Ever since I’ve been doing so I started to feel more motivated and more creative due to my new environment. The next time you feel like you’re stuck or not progressing, I dare you to look at the people around you and ask yourself, “Am I surrounding myself with the right people?” If the answer is NO, then - do something about it.
The past few months have been a crazy roller coaster. I got out of a long term relationship and moved into a house with my best friend that I’ve known since I was 5. I’ve been going from highs to lows and having mixed emotions about a lot of things. I went from being completely lost and confused about life to now understanding and remembering that EVERYTHING in life happens for a reason. If you too have been feeling lost lately, just remember that life isn’t always going to be perfect and it’s not always going to make sense. Nonetheless that should never stop you from always making the best out of each situation. Just know that someday, everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the bullshit, and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason.
What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t happened yet.
Fun fact.... I used to ride the bus for 2/3 hours to get to work from the age of 16 to 21. Sometimes I would even wait in the rain and the crazy Vegas winds. When you have a vision you’ll stop at nothing until you achieve it. “Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.”
The real ones been dyin', the fake ones is lit. The game is off balance, I'm back on my shhhh.
If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it.
Seek the world and you will only lose yourself. Seek yourself and you will discover the world.
Somewhere in there, inside that hurting body, there is something better, something stronger, and something real.
Sometimes you have to let yourself break down before you can build yourself back up.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
Accept what is. Let go of what was. And have faith in what will be.
