Annastacia Palaszczuk

Proud Premier of QLD & Minister for Trade

Meeting Maeve in Mackay. I was there to visit Robbie and Steve Young at Kynaston Engineering to talk about our Back to Work program and was greeted by Robbie and Jane’s daughter Maeve and son Teddy. They were just too adorable for words. Thanks for the flowers Maeve, they were beautiful 💐
Wavell SHS’s fabulous performance of Grease really takes us back - @gracegracemp and I remember all the words! A wonderful night had with three of the young stars at the opening of the school’s new Performing Arts Centre, a $7.6m investment from our government.
‪Congratulations @ashbar96 – you’ve been our number one for a while now but now you’re number one in the world! 🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾 This just goes to show that any young tennis player can play on any tennis court around Queensland and end up an international champion. It was through sheer determination and hard work that she has made it to world number one and we wish her all the best for Wimbledon.‬ ‪In terms of celebrations, we’ll put our heads together and come up with something wonderful for Ash.‬
Before the game I said to the @qldmaroons taking on NSW in the Women’s State of Origin that Queensland is behind them. Queensland will always be behind them, win or lose, because they’re already winners who are paving the way for young girls who might dream of playing rugby league for their State one day. They should be incredibly proud. #stateoforigin
Tonight the Queensland Maroons take on NSW in the Women’s State of Origin. Go the Maroons!
The 140th Mackay Show is officially open! #Mackay #Queensland #thisisqueensland #regionalqueensland
What a backdrop for a sunset walk in Townsville last night. #sunset #townsville #queensland #thisisqueensland #photooftheday
What amazing progress on the new world-class Townsville Stadium. My government is so proud to be putting $190m towards this new home for the North Queensland Cowboys - 700+ jobs in construction, 800+ on game days. Looking forward to @eltonjohn and the 2020 NRL season opener next year! @scottstewartmp. @aaron_harper_mp. #qldpol
I last saw him in Barcaldine. He wasn’t well enough to march that Labour Day but he stood up from his chair, climbed on a stage and held the crowded showgrounds spellbound urging us all to keep fighting for working people. He told me it would be his last visit, and it was. The sense of loss we feel today is a measure of how much Bob meant to all of us. A man of the people, for the people. Vale Bob Hawke.
So happy to support the 7th annual taste of Bundaberg at Parliament showcasing the best of this great region. Bundy is a great place to visit and raise a family soon to be even better with a brand new hospital.
BREAKING: More than 6,000 jobs for Queenslanders in May alone. Only my Government can and will deliver on jobs for Queenslanders.
This afternoon, the Treasurer Jackie Trad will bring down her second budget and our fifth. It’s also our fifth surplus. It has one aim: backing Queensland jobs.
We're investing in the future of all Queensland children, no matter where they live. You will be able to read about it more tomorrow when @jackietrad hands down our fifth Budget and our fifth surplus. This year's education budget includes a record spend in education infrastructure - building the classrooms, learning areas and halls that our kids need to be their best at school. #qldpol

@norweldaustralia in #Cairns is a great local manufacturing success story. Nice to meet Tim, one of the 45 workers employed there. 5300 jobs have been created in the Cairns area in the past 12 months, with local unemployment down from 6.2% to 4.8% @pitt.curtis @craig_crawford_mp
Delighted to join @coralee.orourke at an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event for the @cancercouncilqld. Like so many others, Coralee herself knows what it means to personally deal with cancer. This is an important fund raising initiative. Congratulations and best wishes to everyone involved, here and throughout the state.
