Sometimes love is three letters. CND. Thank you for being friends that turned into family. My life wouldn't be the same without you. We are growing into some powerhouses (some expected and some surprised lol) To those pictured and those not pictured...who is planning the trip next year???? 👀
I'm very late... but I pray for the family of civil rights legend Dr. F. D. Reese. This Selma native was a champion for voting rights and invited Dr. King to Selma to fight for our right to vote. His commitment to voting rights led to the historic Selma to Montgomery March which led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. It was my pleasure to personally escort him throughout the halls of the Capitol when he received the Congressional Gold Medal on behalf of all the Foot Soldiers of the voting rights movement. His kind words, interest in my Howard education, and insistence upon making sure my parents knew that they raised a God-fearing and respectful daughter made my day. I love the first photo (which I took) because it symbolizes progress. Thank you Dr. Reese for securing my access to the ballot box.

This is 30 for a pretty special guy. So here we are...white tees and Jordans at his favorite restaurant ☺️ #happybirthday
New chapter. I'm extremely thankful and blessed to have had an awesome first day at my new job. Fun fact: UNCF was on my list of top 5 companies in the DC area to work for...and here I am. Humbled by His mercy and ready to continue my career with such an established and respected organization. My parents and brother even made the day special with a surprise! Special thanks to newfound bis sisters @theerickahatfield @nanicoleshe @ashlei_stevens
for your faith and encouragement.
No place I'd rather be than at my Big Mama's house ☺️
Dad - (n.) Superman. Super husband. Always there. Dependable. Loving. Caring. Comforting. Smart. Carpenter. Musician. Doctor. Google. Chef. Athlete. Marathon finisher. Triathlon finisher. Counselor. God-fearing. Patient...like REALLY patient. I could go on and on...but I'm just blessed to see him celebrate another year. To date, this is without a doubt the proudest I've made him. Getting that degree. #HappyBirthdayDaddy
I cried because I never would have imagined that he was suffering. I thought maybe he just needed a break from the world to recharge. From missing to found deceased... I just wasn't ready. I met Rob thinking he was Trey, and he never let me live it down. In all honesty, we weren't close and I can count on two hands the number of times we spent just the two of us. But if you ever had the pleasure of being around him, you know that he would treat you like a friend he'd known forever. His smile was contagious, he literally always seemed happy. To honor his life, I will check in on my 'smiling' friend. I will spread love and light. I encourage all battling thoughts of suicide to reach out to those who love you, you are never alone. My prayers are extended to his mother, who is now burying her son. #RipRob #BisonForever
To Howard, with love... Happy Charter Day.
