While we are all angry and frustrated, posting #EndSars or #ReformSars and agitating for some very necessary police reforms, let's also remember the people most affected by the murder of Kolade Johnson: his son, widowed mom, and fiance. His family depended on him and now he is no more. I want to plead that we all contribute whatever we can directly to his Mom's account, so she can take care of the family in this trying moment. His death should not prevent his son from getting a good education or hinder them from putting food on the table. Please repost this, and pls donate whatever you can. We must always rise up as a community to care for each other, with or without the help of our Government. #JusticeForKolade #HelpForKoladesFamily
#JusticeForKolade My next post will be about #HelpForKoladesFamily PS: We hope @policenglagos will also let us know what the details of the internal disciplinary procedures are..
Happy birthday to my @oneafrica_musicfest Chairman, the visionary and legendary @pauloo2104.. the greatest!!! One love Big Bro
Happy birthday to my brother @youngskales. I love you, I appreciate you and I'm proud of you. God bless you my G. #FamilyFirst #familyforever
This post is for our leaders: @muhammadubuhari @profosinbajo @akinwunmiambode , @jidesanwoolu , @aleeygiwa... Dear Sirs, Kolade Johnson, an innocent, young citizen of Nigeria is dead. He was the only son of a widow, a husband and father. His only crime was being in the right place at the wrong time... watching a football match when SARS operatives who allegedly came to arrest someone, started shooting sporadically. Kolade is not the first innocent victim of reckless behaviour by SARS operatives, and he will almost certainly not be the last. It is sickening, frustrating, and unfair. We are tired of hearing about victims of police brutality, but never hearing about the criminal, reckless police officers being brought to justice. We are tired of screaming and tweeting #ENDSARS while our innocent young people are being extorted, bullied, maimed and killed by the very same officers who are meant to protect them. And we are tired of our leaders remaining silent, incident after incident. We're going to track down Kolade's family, pray with them and raise money to assist them through this terrible tragedy. We hope that our leaders will use this opportunity to ACTUALLY show that they care about our lives and wellbeing, by tracking down the reckless officers responsible for this murder and bringing them to justice for their vicious crime. We will not let this go. Kolade was innocent and did not deserve to die. Kolade could have been anyone of us. Please show us that you care about us. Please. #JusticeForKolade PS: Anyone who has the contact details Kolade's wife and/or Mom, please DM @theofficialeme_ and myself. We must take care of ourselves with or without our Government. PPS: please repost

So my fam thought I was leaving LA to rush back to Lagos for work. They didn't know I had gotten permission from my madam❀, and made a plan with my Sister @msddg , to change my flight arrangements and pay them a surprise visit. Their reactions were priceless πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜ I didn't even know Momma W could scream like that!!! 🀣😩🀣😩 By the way, @funmiwellington paid Susu and I a similar surprise visit in Lagos during election weekend, and we almost fainted when he walked in the door - so I had to get him back.πŸ˜πŸ•ΊπŸ½ Thank you to everyone who sent a message/tweeted/called.. I am soooo grateful. I did the best I could to reply, but I've been spending some much needed quality time with my family, and it is exactly what my soul needs right now. It's been years since I got to spend a birthday with them, and I don't see them so often.. so Pls forgive me for not being able to keep up with all the messages, and thanks so much. #familyfirst #familyforever #Blessed #Thankful #birthdayboy #bestbirthdaygift #dmv #maryland #washingtondc

There were days on the campaign trail that I felt completely drained, physically and mentally. But just seeing the faces of our volunteers every week was what inspired us to keep going. I couldn't afford to pay them for their time and effort.. but last Friday, we celebrated them at the most amazing @landmarkbeachlagos.. we had an incredible time, and by the grace of God this is only the beginning. We said it all along, election day was not our finish line, it was just our starting point. We're going to keep building our movement, fixing Nigeria one community at a time. We are going to keep serving the public. This is #MDP . And we are #StrongerTogether PS: @mdp_ng Party registration opens on May 29th. Volunteer work for community service projects will start again in April. I hope you stay tuned. And I hope you join us. #landmarkbeach is BEAUTIFUL... thank you to their team for hosting us. It's currently free to register as a member. I suggest you do that now so you can take advantage of one of the most beautiful beach sides in the country.😍 Check @landmarkbeachlagos for info #MDP #VolunteerAppreciationDay #YourFavouritePartyWouldNever 😏

Today is BWO/MDP Volunteer Appreciation Day in Lagos at @landmarkbeachlagos ... we are taking some time out to appreciate the amazing people who took time out to go door to door with me over the last 3 months. You guys were my weekly source of inspiration all campaign long.. just seeing your faces gave me the strength to keep pushing even when I was mentally and physically drained. Pls check your WhatsApp groups and ensure you register via the 2 links we sent you (one is for access, one is for refreshments).. We accomplished so much in 3 months, and we have a long way to go, but today we just want to take a moment to celebrate you all. Bring your beachwear and sporting gear. Bring an appetite for @sooyah_bistro and good vibes. Today, we celebrate you guys. For those who supported online, from the abroad, via donations and reposts, we couldn't have done it without you either!! Thanks so much. But Pls permit us to celebrate this very special team of people who came out with me every single week. I can't afford to pay them, but I can say thank you in this tiny way. God bless us all. #MDP #StrongerTogether #WeAreAMovement #BankOnBanky
