Overnight I had the honour and privilege of co-hosting "The Experience". It was such an amazing night in God's presence, with over 500,000 people praising Him together... I'm so grateful to have played a part in it.
I've been battling the flu all week, so between hosting on stage, and praising God at the top of my lungs, this morning I woke up sounding like a frog that has lost its voice.. and I wouldn't change a thing.😁🕺🏾🙌🏽👏🏽 #TE13 #theexperiencelagos #Jesusourpeace
PS: thank you @deco_d29
for the outfit 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤜🏽🤛🏾
The look on your face when you are trying to ask "please which one of my enemies wrote this scene into the movie?" Lol that goat was stinking 😷😑🤣 #upnorththefilm
Premiere: Dec 16th.
In cinemas: Dec 28th
End your year with this film. You'll be glad you did.
is really a story of people coming together from different backgrounds to lift each other. It's a story of unity, and it was great to see communities in Bauchi come together to support the film like their own. The film showcases the sheer beauty of the Nigerian landscape (wow!), but it also focuses on very important issues such as tolerance for other tribes and tongues, and the education/empowerment of the Nigerian girl-child.
I was most impressed by the Emir of Bauchi, who not only gave us access to shoot in his palace, but also made an appearance in this same film. The emir of Bauchi is in Up North!
On the 16th of December, the Emir will be our special guest at #thegranddurbar
premiere of Up North, and will be coming in his full royal outfit. I have seen that outfit up close - it's not a small sumtin.
You people shld help me beg @maiatafo
to not allow The Emir and The @Ebuka
outshine me TOOOOO much. Lol. We move!!!
At the Modern Democratic party (@mdp_ng
), we may not have the financial muscle (or the Govt's permission as of yet) to put up campaign material on all the major streets in the area.. so will you PLEASE help us out by blasting it on every online platform? We don't need Govt permission to be on your profile, feed or WhatsApp group. We just need yours.
We know elections are not won on social media.. but I say we use it as a business card to get the word out, and as a tool to tension our opponents 😬🤣🤜🏽🤛🏾 So please swipe left, screenshot your favourite poster, and upload it to any/all of your online platforms. Let's give the "Powers that be" a December to Remember. Let's make sure they see 'em online so much that they don't want to turn on their phones, lol.
We can do this, if we do it together.
Pls make sure you use our hashtags: #MDP #StrongerTogether #Hope19 #BankOnBanky
PS: Seriously though, which of these posters is your favourite? I can't decide.
PPS: Big ups to the amazing team at @icree8media
for donating the designs. I am grateful!!!!
Some still insist it is impossible and that we are wasting our time.. but history is only ever made by people who are crazy enough to think they can do the impossible.
On Saturday, alongside the most amazing Volunteers ever, I again went "Door to Door" in the Community, sharing the vision we have, and the feedback was incredible. They're ready and so are we. It will be difficult, but we can do this, if we do it together.
Tell a friend to tell a friend to tell every voter in Eti Osa, that when it comes to the House of Representatives elections, vote for the Modern Democratic Party's Olubankole "Banky W" Wellington.
Please share this video and help us tension the "powers that be". 🤜🏽🤛🏾😬😆We MOVE!!! #MDP #StrongerTogether #BankOnBanky #Hope19 #etiosa #Houseofrepresentatives
PS: And on Sunday, Arsenal whooped Tottenham. At the moment, all is right with the world.😆🙆🏽♂️🕺🏾🕺🏾👏🏽👏🏽
In Nigeria, one in four girls have experienced sexual violence. One in two girls have experienced physical violence, and one in six have experienced emotional violence. Girls account for two-thirds of the 10.5 million out-of-school children in Nigeria.
We have to BE better.
Nov 25th marks the beginning of the International "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" Campaign. We are all pledging our support to join this campaign, and using our voices to raise awareness about this very important cause. You should too. Don't do it because we said so. Do it for your mother, sister or daughter.
Go to www.herstoryourstory.ng to sign the pledge, and upload to your social media profile to help spread the word. This Gender Based Violence Issue must stop. Period.
