If you’re looking to get some helpful feedback on your work, this club is for you. We “meet” to give constructive criticism and honest feedback on each other’s work. Getting input from peers is a great way to see things from a new perspective! ✦ To get feedback you just have to be willing to give feedback to the other people in the club! The more effort each member puts into giving helpful feedback, the more each member gets out of the experience! ✦ All of our members are welcome to submit 1 image to the June Feedback Club until June 21st! After we’ve compiled all the submissions we’ll send each participant a link to a feedback form to provide feedback for a small group of others. You will have until the end of the month to complete the feedback form. ✦ After all the forms are submitted each member will be emailed a PDF of the feedback written specifically to them from the other members of their group! ✦ Hit the link in our bio to be part of the club!
Member Spotlight: Hyper realistic drawings by New York City-based artist Bella McGoldrick @bellamcgoldrick. Created using coloured pencils and markers, McGoldrick’s large format works focus on used objects found along her travels. ✦ “I work on subjects that reflect a feeling of nostalgia and brashness, using the cracks, folds and rips to bring excitement into the drawing… The largest pieces taking 70+ hours to complete, I enjoy the tiny details I have to pencil in that our naked eye almost always misses — similarly as these objects are forgotten, I say — hang them on your walls!” ✦ We’re highlighting the best work submitted to us by our talented members each week. Member Spotlight: Melbourne-based photographer Abigail Varney @abivar captures the beauty of the Australian Outback. Taken in the opal mining town of Coober Pedy and surrounding desert, the series is suffused with a strange dream-like quality that highlights both the bleak isolation of the landscape and resilient spirit of its inhabitants. ✦ We’re highlighting the best work submitted to us by our talented members each week. Member Spotlight: Photographer Matthew Thorne @matthewjjthorne documents the South Australian Opal mining town of Andamooka. “The land is a stolen land, and a cursed land — and the magic of that wound has a unique way of working on the people that are born there new, and those who came before.” ✦ We’re highlighting the best work submitted to us by our talented members each week. Member Spotlight: A selection of vibrant portraits by Edmonton-based artist Lauren Crazybull @elceebee. Exploring the tension and power within portraiture, Crazybull focuses on the gaze of her subjects in an effort to create personal expressions that reflect her own humanity and desire to connect with her viewers. Her work is part of important conversations surrounding Indigenous advocacy and identity, and how those identities and experiences can be represented. ✦ We’re highlighting the best work submitted to us by our talented members.
