This is the Woma Python, a species endemic to Australia. They’re found in arid and semi arid habitat, this example was located near St George on the @australiazoo
conservation property “Mourachan” a part of the Brigalow Belt and home to many reptiles. These properties serve as natural habitat for all creatures amongst the farming and mining properties and are vitally important to research and conservation and I’m so lucky to have explored the area with the Canon Collective & Australia Zoo last month... #australiazoo #canoncollective #woma #outbackqueensland
The cow tail ray in action as he shakes his Cloke, I snuck up on this guy for 2-3 minutes to get as close as possible for pulling the trigger with the fish eye lens... he lifted his lip a dozen times as I pushed the boundaries of comfort for him, I ended up pulling the shot and then backing off to leave him in piece but not until he shook off some sand to expose his size and show dominance... love the cow tails, so beautiful... #ladyelliotisland #canoncollective #thisisqueensland #greatbarrierreef
Birds eye view... Emus are the second largest bird in the world and I’m my opinion the greatest outback bird of them all, such beautiful prehistoric features and a heavy stock of feathers doesn’t seem to make sense in such a dry hot environment but their great at regulating their own temperature and the dust doesn’t seem to bother them... I’m so lucky to get this close to the action, only possible thanks to the team at @australiazoo
