Jillian Smith was 200 lb., pre-diabetic, drinking and smoking too much, and she was only in her 20s when she decided she couldn't live like this. She tried all the fad diet and exercise programs before finding what worked for her. - "It wasn't until I joined a group setting and hired a coach and got some nutrition help that it actually became a lifestyle change for me," said Smith. - Now she's helping others change their lives at @EarnedNotGivenCrossFit in Farmington, Michigan, as co-owner and head coach, training people like Francesca Pernice. - "It really truly is life changing—it really truly is," she said. - Francesca got a wake up call when she hit 40 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Via @crossfitvirilis : When @marialuna8324 came our way, she had type 2 diabetes and couldn’t jump comfortably on anything higher than a three-inch bumper plate. Yesterday, she got her first 20-inch box jump, then did about 9 more just to make sure. She is also now free of diabetes because of the choices she made with her food in combination with doing CrossFit. She committed herself to change to create a better life and lots of progress.
