Have you ever wondered why the Founders, when crafting the U.S. Constitution, separated the powers of government into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial? What were they hoping to accomplish? How has it worked? What does the future look like? Get answers to these questions and more at a discussion of the constitutional separation of powers on Tuesday, September 25 from 9 am until noon. Featuring thought leaders from academia, journalism and Washington think tanks, the symposium is in the Capitol Visitor Center. #dc #dmv #artist #travel #wanderlust #wtdc #culturatourism #theatre #backyardtourism #washingtondc #artwork #mydccool #craft #culturaltourismdc #creative #discover #travel #ig_photooftheday #igdc #acreativedc #thedistrict #dcarts #dcfocused #districtofcolumbia

Although William Shakespeare wrote very few stage directions in all of his plays, what little information he gives us in “Macbeth,” has more meaning. In particular, the weather plays a role of portraying the setting of the scene as well as hinting that something unnatural is about to take place. Macbeth runs thru September 23rd at the Folger Shakespeare Theatre - 201 E Capitol St SE, Washington, DC 20003. #artist #dc #dmv #travel #wanderlust #wtdc #culturatourism #backyardtourism #washingtondc #folgertheatre #culturaltourismdc #creative #discover #travel #ig_photooftheday #igdc #acreativedc #thedistrict #dcarts #dcfocused #districtofcolumbia #dcist #shakespeare #dcitystyle #design
