The holidays are a wonderful time to practice traditions that have been part of our families for generations; however, you can also create new ones.
This year what are ways you can be more conscious and healthful in your festivities? Maybe it’s making a more nutritious version of your grandmas legendary cookie recipe, or burning candles made from soy and essential oils, or using fair trade chocolate in your hot coco.

♡ Whenever I enjoy a meal, I always make sure I have protein, fat and fibrous veggies and greens on my plate.
♡ I find this combination tends to keep me feeling full longer and my blood sugar nicely balanced.
♡ Blood sugar, or glucose, is our main source of energy. It dictates how hungry and energetic we feel.
♡ Eating the right amount of protein, fat and fiber at each meal can help you naturally stabilize blood sugar to burn fat and have consistent energy throughout the day.
♡ Going for daily walks has literally changed my life.
♡ A recent study found that walking improved convergent and divergent thinking, two types associated with enhanced creativity.
♡ It also helps me manage my stress.
♡ I highly recommend the book Secret Walks if you live in LA for beautiful and interesting hidden trails!
♡ Fun Fact: Beethoven wrote most of his music on walks that he scribbled in a notebook!
♡ What do you do to relieve stress?
So excited to share my homemade low- sugar Apple Cider recipe I made for my friends over at @qalo
! Their products are definitely on my holiday shopping list! I highly recommend checking them out!
What You'll Need:
5 Large Apples
3 Cinnamon Sticks
1 Teaspoon Cloves OR Clove Powder
1 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
Quarter the apples and remove the cores. Place the quarter apples in a pot with 3 cups water. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, and nutmeg in the pot and fill with water.
Bring to a boil like you would with potatoes and then turn it down to a simmer. Let simmer for at least 1 hour. It'll make your home smell incredible!
Allow cooling. Strain cooled fluid removing all solids into an airtight sterile container. For extra sweetness, you can add a tablespoon of raw honey. Serve warm with a cinnamon stick.

♡ Where you spend your money is a powerful way of voting each day to support local communities, fair wages, and a healthy planet.
♡ As you begin your holiday shopping, I highly recommend taking time to learn the brands/ companies you buy from to see if their ethos is online with your beliefs.
is a brand I love supporting because their products are made from recycled fruit and veggie pulp to make granola!

🦃I am so deeply grateful that @coreycraigofficial

If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have continued to grow and expand Eat Cute.
🦃Through every obstacle and every triumph, Corey has been by my side. He also hides in different places in our home and frequently jumps out and scares me. Love you to pieces @coreycraigofficial

🥥My new obsession is @innereco
’s Smoothie Pack to add to my morning smoothie.
🥥It’s only ingredient is young green coconut and it helps thicken my smoothies while adding a touch of natural sweetness.
🥥What I also love about this brand, is with each sale of @innereco
, a portion of the profits go towards freeing, feeding an educating those in need.

♡ I am always trying new herbs and supplements in order to look and feel my best. This past month I started taking Shilajit.
♡ Shilajit is a tar -like substance that comes from the mountain crevices of the Himalayan and Tibet Mountains.
♡ It is said to help relieve fatigue, promote brain health, relieve pain, support the immune system, manage diabetes and prevent inflammation.
♡ I take it by spooning out a pea sized portion and mixing it with a glass of water with some orange/lemon juice. The taste is quit pungent so I drink it quickly.
♡ The brand I’ve been using is from @purehimalayanshilajit
♡ What are new health experiments are you trying out?
♡ After much thought, I realized most of my stress comes from trying to do too many things before leaving the house. I end up rushing, forgetting things and having a stressful drive.
♡ I finally realized that if I do less I can alleviate stress, show up on time for others and have a more relaxed and joyful day.
♡ Anyone else try to do too much?

Cute Homemade Dog Biscuits
As an animal lover, I was so excited when my friends at @qalo
launched their dog collection! To celebrate, I created these simple homemade dog biscuits. Most dogs are happy with any treat, so I decided to create a healthier option!
1 cup of organic pumpkin
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
* Make sure all these ingredients are organic, unsalted, made without sugar or hydrogenated oils.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine pumpkin, peanut butter, eggs, and oil in a bowl. Add in baking soda, cinnamon, turmeric, and whole wheat flour. Stir until a stiff dough forms. Knead dough or mix just until flour is incorporated.
Roll out dough with a rolling pin and use a cookie cutter to cut out dog bone shapes, or just bake into little circles like cookies.
Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to cool before serving to your pup!
Comment bellow with your dogs favorite food!
For years I have been on a quest to have clear and soft skin. Finally, I found @freskincare
and am in love! Not only is it a high performance brand that was designed for active women to wear during workouts, but it is also vegan and cruelty-free!
For every set sold, an Argan tree is planted. I love the ethos behind the brand and am excited to watch them grow... literally 🌳
