Oké I'm not saying I blame the bookstagram community, but secretly I do 😂 I have yet read another book (yes the one on the photo), very hyped, immensely popular in Holland with only good praises that I didn't hesitate to try it out. It was even said to be a bit alike with twilight, one of my favourite series of all time. And boy was I disappointed, the first 100 pages were alright but then it was repeatment after repeatment and after finishing more then 400 pages I was literally asking myself, what did I actually read? And then I looked at my reading challenge with all the books I've read this year and it was kind of disappointing how many bad ones were in there (and surprise, were also very popular on bookstagram). But this makes me wonder a bit if people are genuine with them rating books or somehow rate it higher because of the pressure or to not be the 'weird' one out there? Conclusion, from now on I'm going to read what I think will be good and seems interesting, ignore the hyped books even more, because I thought I was doing that already, but lately those books slipped a bit in and therefore I'm reading a popular book at the moment again 🙄 Happy end note: luckily I didn't buy this book, but lent it from the library 😂
QOTD : Do you feel like you've read less good books this year because you fell for the hype on bookstagram?
