Thyme and Gruyere Potato Stacks by @halfbakedharvest . Crisp on the edges, soft in the center, stuffed with the best @emmicheeseusa Le Gruyère AOP, and seasoned with just the right amount of thyme...and flaky salt. Honestly, these are the perfect potatoes and the use of Gruyère is the perfect way elevate the classic potato. SO GOOD. Grab the full recipe below. .. Ingredients: 4 Idaho potatoes, cut into 1/8 inch thick slices 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme 6 tablespoons butter, melted kosher salt and black  pepper 1 cup grated Le Gruyère AOP cheese Preheat the oven 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a 12 cup muffin tin. Cut the potatoes using a mandoline. In a medium bowl, toss together the potatoes, thyme, butter, salt and pepper. Add the cheese and toss again. Layer the potatoes evenly among the prepared muffin tin, stacking the layers all the way to the top. The potatoes will shrink down as they cook. Cover with foil and place on a baking sheet. Transfer to the oven and roast for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue cooking another 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and golden. Fig Jam Camembert Pepper Pie @tastemade_japan ⠀⠀ INGREDIENTS:⠀⠀ For the pie:⠀⠀ 1 Camembert cheese⠀⠀ ¼ cup blueberries⠀⠀ 1 teaspoon pepper⠀⠀ 2 pastry sheets (8-inch square), and additional for decorating⠀⠀ 1 egg yolk, beaten⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ FIG JAM:⠀⠀ 3 large figs⠀⠀ ¼ cup sugar⠀⠀ 2 tablespoons lemon juice⠀⠀ 1 sprig fresh rosemary⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ STEPS:⠀⠀ Make fig jam ⠀⠀ Remove the skin from the fig, and cut into chunks. ⠀⠀ In a saucepan over medium to high heat, add figs, sugar, lemon juice, and rosemary. ⠀⠀ With a wooden spoon or spatula, stir until it comes to a boil. Skim out any pulp. The bottom of the pan burns easily, stir constantly to prevent the jam from burning. ⠀⠀ Once jam consistency forms, remove from heat and allow to cool.⠀⠀ Make the pie⠀⠀ Preheat oven to 350 degrees.⠀⠀ On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spread out 1 pastry sheet, place camembert on top.⠀⠀ Next, place jam on top of the camembert and spread evenly, followed by blueberries. Sprinkle with pepper.⠀⠀ With a brush, lightly coat the rest of the pastry sheet with egg wash.⠀⠀ Place the second pastry sheet on top, and gently, but firmly, press the top and edges together. ⠀⠀ With additional pastry sheet, cut out 8 skinny, long pieces and place 4 across and 4 down in a woven pattern on the top.⠀⠀ With a brush, lightly coat the pastry sheet with egg wash.⠀⠀ Next, cut off the edges so the pie is shaped in a circle, leave a roughly ½ inch of bonded surface. ⠀⠀ With a fork, crimp sides of the pie to ensure edges are closed.⠀⠀ Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.⠀⠀ Remove from oven and plate. Casein Protein Waffles with Grilled Peaches for Breakfast and Flank Steak Fajitas from The Meal Prep Manual-60 Minute Meals for Lunch 😎 . . The casein waffles are a go to snack of mine but they also work for a breakfast. I make these fresh when I want to eat them, I don’t think they meal prep very well. All you need for these is 1/4 cup water, 1 scoop of casein protein (not whey, not pea, casein), and 1 egg white. Beat the egg white and mix everything together and put it in a waffle iron. If you want to see a video of how to make them, I have a story highlight saved on my page. A lot of the carbs in this recipe come from the syrup. You could cut a lot of the calories by omitting it and replacing it with a homemade jam. The grilled peaches are optional as well and kind of just a nice touch. Why grill them? Vegan.DIY: Pizza Crust. - makes 2 large or 4 small ones. - activate 7g dry yeast in 2 cups luke-warm water, 1 Tsp agave nectar and 3 Tbsp olive oil (about 7-10 minutes). - add 2.5 cups all-purpose flour, 1.5 cups whole-meal wheat flour and 1 Tsp salt. - mix until dough comes together and then gently knead on a flour-dusted surface for 3-5 minutes (dough should be soft, elastic and a little sticky). - form a dough ball and place it in a slightly greased bowl. - let rest for 1-2 hours until dough has doubled in size. - cut dough into 2 or 4 pieces and spread them out on a flour-dusted surface (DO NOT ROLL! buckwheat crepe rolls by @vegamelon | with @emmysorganics cookie crumbles, yogurt filling (@lovvelavva + beet powder), and berries 🍓. happy #pancakesunday ! this was my first attempt at making crepe rolls, so these didn’t turn out perfect! nevertheless, the crepes were adorable and fun to make — and not to mention delicious. . buckwheat crepes -1/2 cup buckwheat flour -1/2 cup oat or wheat flour -1/2 tsp baking powder -1 tbsp sugar -1/2 cup applesauce -1 cup plant-based milk Mix all ingredients in a bowl until batter is smooth and thin, adding milk as needed to reach a runny consistency. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grease lightly. Pour a few tablespoons of batter onto the pan and tilt the pan to spread out the batter. For each crepe, cook the first side until bubbly, then flip and cook until both sides are golden brown. BASE ¾ cup raw almonds ¾ cup shredded coconut 1/3 cup buckwheat grouts ¾ cup soft dates 3 tsp maple syrup BASE Add the almonds, coconut and buckinis to a food processor. Pulse until fine crumbs form, Add the remaining ingredients and pulse until sticky. Press the base into desired lined cake pan and set aside. cacao layer 1 cup cashews, soaked for 4 hours, drained and rinsed 1/4 cup pure maple syrup Pinch salt 1/4 cup cacao butter, grated and melted double boiler style 1/4 cup raw cacao powder, defrosted 1/3 cup full fat coconut milk 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract 1. Add cashews, salt, maple syrup, cacao, coconut milk and vanilla to a high speed blender. Blend on high for 2 minutes, or until very smooth. Add melted cacao butter, blending for a further 1 minute on high. Pour over base and set in freezer for 30 mins. A simple Sunday evening dinner. 🤔I definitely prefer photographing simple plant based foods, cooked just enough to enhance their natural deliciousness. I think that’s because those are the foods I relate to the most. I’m not at all confident photographing treats...it’s a big struggle for me😩 and I think it’s because I don’t eat them all that often. (Apart from my large daily dose of dark chocolate 😛!) And forget about photographing people, I’m really not so good at understanding those either😱(hehe). What’s your thinking about this? 🌱Recipe rosemary crusted hasselbacks: scrub 3 large potatoes and dry. Peel. Lay a chopstick down lengthwise along side of potato and cut slits 1/4-1/8 inch wide down to chopstick level along potato. Do this for all 3. Place potatoes on baking sheet and brush generously (tops and bottoms) with extra virgin olive oil + sprinkle with salt, pepper and a generous amount of dried (or some freshly chopped) rosemary leaves. Roast at 425F about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and brush again with more extra virgin olive oil, trying to get some into the slits. Roast for about another 30 minutes until edges are crispy and middle is easy to pierce with pairing knife. 🌱Recipe roasted chickpeas: In a large bowl, combine 2 cups cooked chickpeas, 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 2 tsp chili powder, pinch cayenne, salt to taste.
