YOGA TIP 👉🏼 Can you believe these photos were taken just 10 minutes apart??!!😱❤️➡️➡️➡️Swipe LEFT to watch my 10 minute flexibility hamstring routine video!!! ⠀ 👉🏼👉🏼Most people think they can’t do a particular pose or they have no flexibility - but the truth is you have to warm your muscles up to get into the deepest position of your pose and build your muscles up to it! ⠀ 🙏🏼Today I want to show you how I loosen up my hamstrings to achieve a deeper standing forward fold and increase overall flexibility! ⠀ 👉🏼When I first go into a forward fold I can barely touch the floor and my hamstrings are in so much pain!! Here is my routine to loosen up (video in the next slide of this post!) 🙏🏼🙏🏼 ⠀ 1️⃣ Forward Fold (bend knees to chest and straighten) x 1 minute 2️⃣ Low Lunge option to reach around and grab back foot with opposite hand x 30 seconds 3️⃣ Pyramid Pose x 30 seconds 4️⃣ Repeat on other side 5️⃣ Downward Dog To Planks x 1 minute 6️⃣ Downward Dog Ankle Grab x 15 seconds each side 7️⃣ Half Pigeon Fold (both sides)x 90 seconds each side 8️⃣ Seated Forward Fold x 1 minute 9️⃣ Seated Twist x 30 seconds each side 🔟 Forward Fold 👉🏼 Try this out with me and let me know what you think!! 6 months in vs 6 months out. 💕💪 ⠀ “I gotta say this is when my belly really popped and I can’t believe how fast it’s going by. Ladies, enjoy the time! Don’t stress out about getting back into shape in X amount of time. If that’s one of your goals? - GO FOR IT! , but don’t ever think that taking care of yourself is a bad thing. We have one body and if we don’t take care of ourselves, who will? Remember, we all have different  journeys, whether it’s postpartum, pregnancy or fitness. Don’t worry if someone else took 2 months for her to “bounce back” but it’s taking you longer! It’s okay! Don’t worry if you have more cellulite or stretch marks because of the pregnancy. I still have the extra skin from both my babies, stretch marks and all! There are some women who would love to have those marks and the way the universe works, they can’t. Embrace and love the body that you have. We are ALL different Remember it took us 9 months to have a baby! You live your life for you. 4 exercises I see people doing wrong ALL the time! FIRST EXERCISE IS A DEMONSTRATION OF PEOPLE BEING ON THERE PHONE & NOT FOCUSING ON THE EXERCISE (This is how I engage my glutes with the hip abductor, DO YOU)💁🏻‍♀️ 1. Hip Abductor ❌ get off your phone,✔️ focus on mind muscle connection. 2. KickBacks ❌ Lower back pain, lower back bounce ,back arches, glutes get zero contact. ✔️ Low back relaxed, Spine is neutral, glute contact! 3. Barbell Squats ❌ Mid way squat, knees go over toes , bend back ✔️Drop the weight (get comfortable) , neutral spine , back straight, Ass to grass! 4. Sumo Deadlifts ❌ Round back, Stiff neck, heavy weights ✔️Neutral Spine, Shoulder Retraction , Chest Over Weight, Comfortable Weights! The gym definitely kicked my ass today, but I wouldn't have it any other way. This time last year I was in a totally different place & mind set. Today I feel like I'm heading in the right direction. A carb-rich meal can help spike your leptin levels & other beneficial hormones giving you a boost of energy.
