Mock up version number 2. I decided these pants didnt actually need to stretch, but wanted to experiment with flatlining a non stretch to a stretch material. Made some tiny tweaks to my seams, and decided on using foam to fabricate some of the trim needed. Next is cutting my final materials for assembly.
Thor pants yeah! 🤘

A little throw back to this stash challenge from Halloween 2017.
I challenged myself to come up with an original design while @abbycatcosplay
challenged me to use only items I already had available to me. Granted I have a mountain of foam and foam scraps so this helped to thin the herd and I had a fun time experimenting with texturing the foam to look like wood.
It is important to me to stretch myself past my skill set at least a little bit with each project. It keeps things fresh and learning something new is always empowering.

Hey I made a hat! Woo! 🙌🧙♀️Need to add a ribbon medallion as one last detail and then I can cross this piece off my list. #makerjoy
I had to reinforce the brim a bunch with wire and extra foam support at the angles of the octagon to support the velvet. But doing so also lets me style the brim in neat ways. .

Mock up number 2 is my new favorite for Bunnerva. Sometimes when I'm having trouble getting started on a design Ill look to existing commercial patterms for shapes. However for this I attempted to drape my own vision. There are still a few things to tweak before I go to final fabric, but Im really happy with the look thus far.
