Liberator en route to a goal in Germany. The four-servants of the US Air Force mainly hit industrial and strategic targets with daytime incursions. Slightly faster and more capacious than the Flying Fortress, the B-24 was however much more vulnerable and was shot down more frequently by fighters and enemy anti-aircraft. #war #historic #historical #history #ww2 #air #liberator #b -24 #flying #us #air #force #usa #incursions

A British flaming tank Churchill Crocodile in action in August 1944. This armored vehicle was modified by mounting a flamethrower instead of a machine gun: it's trailer, pulled by the tank, could hold up to 1800 liters of incendiary liquid. The Churchill Crocodile projected the flames up to 110 meters away, which made it very efficient in actions against bunkers, trenches and other fortifications. #war #historic #history #historical #ww2 #flaming #tank #british #1944 #fortification #1800liters #crocodile
