Life is like a mirror. If you smile at it, it smiles back. 😁 . Rike park is a recreational area in Tbilisi. It is situated on the left bank of the river Kura (Mtkvari) and already has become a popular place for both local and international visitors, especially families, and in summer. The Rike park main entrance is right from the beautiful pedestrian ‘Bridge of Peace’. A cable car station takes people up to Narikala Fortress. The park is a host to a numerous entertainment facilities like singing and dancing fountains, artificial climbing wall, children’s maze, mega-chess board, as well as footpaths and quiet corners. . #georgia #tbilisi #rikepark #mirror

Borjomi is a resort town in south-central Georgia with a population of about 10K. Borjomi Central Park is one of its main attraction. The best way to go there is to take the cable car service. Inside the park there are many activities for kids and adults. Borjomi Central Park is part of Borjomi-Kharagauli National park. Borjomi has become a synonym for healthy, mineral water spa and the lush green nature of Georgia. The pure environment gives the mineral water the distinctive, sulfuric taste. . Mirror mosaics are a traditional Persian art form.✨ The surfaces of the Ali Ibn Hamzeh Holy Shrine, in the Iranian city of Shiraz, glisten and shimmer as you walk by. Mosaics made of mirror shards and tiles cover each wall. Glittering chandeliers hang from the ceilings and spots of light dance in the domes. The glass work of this glittering mausoleum has an hypnotizing beauty.🌙 . . #iran #shiraz #aliibnhamzeh #shrine #mirrors
We live in a culture that celebrates activity. We collapse our sense of who we are into what we do for a living. The public performance of business is how we demonstrate to one another that we are important. The more people see us as tired, exhausted, over-stretched, the more they think we must be somehow indispensable. That we matter. . Hiking in the mountains on the other hand, is about being alone, in silence, facing the mountain, facing ourselves. It is to embrace the challenge, enjoy the air and behold the view. And however small the mountain makes us feel, we grow as we walk, we matter because we are present. - Picture taken climbing the Rila Lakes trail in Bulgaria. . . #bulgaria #rilalakes #mountain #clouds #wematter
Don’t follow me. I’m lost. 🙈 . There is no better way to get to know a city than to tread its streets, wander between the buildings and stroll aimlessly.✨ Sometime I am just guided by the sounds, the smells or my changing mood, feeling the maze all around. Here I walk down some stairs while looking up at a strange balcony. There I turn left, and discover the perfect door, right in front of me. Later I enter a small corridor and discover a big courtyard, like in the picture at 3 Sioni street, Tbilisi, Georgia. And as always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.🤩 . . #georgia #tbilisi #courtyard #sionistreet #streetwalk
Situated in the southwest of France, at the mouth of the Estuary of Gironde, Vaux-sur-Mer is a small seaside station in the Charente-Maritime on the Côte de Beauté. Nestled between Saint-Palais-sur-Mer and Royan, Vaux opens widely onto the sea with several kilometers of shoreline offering great trails, of which the Sentier des Douaniers provides access to the 4 sand beaches. I’ve been walking on this trail since I am 10 years old. It is a beautiful path along the coast offering magnificent views of the Côte de Beauté, the Gironde estuary and the famous Cordouan lighthouse. But my favorite part has always been to walk through the trees sculpted by the sea wind. I can’t get enough of it.😁 . . #france #royan #vauxsurmer #sentierdesdouaniers #plagedenauzan #plageduconseil
I’ve been shopping for 20 years and I still don’t have anything to wear.😉 . The Passage Pommeraye, classified as a historic monument since 1976, is a small shopping mall in central Nantes, France, named after its property developer, Louis Pommeraye. Completed in 1843, it is a passage between two streets, the rue Santeuil and rue de la Fosse, with one 9.40 m higher than the other. Midway, there is a flight of steps and the mall then continues on another floor illuminated by a large skylight. It is one of Nantes' most endearing buildings with its metal and wooden staircase, the steps of which are adorned with mice, fluted columns, open-worked balustrades and cherubs bearing torches. This charming place is well worth a visit. . . #france #nantes #passagepommeraye #shoppinggallery
Trust the road.✨ . It takes around 30 minutes by jeep up a rough mountain trail to access the Holy Trinity Church Gergeti at an elevation of 2170 meters. On clear days, one can admire one of the highest peaks of Georgia - Mount Kazbek (5047m). The Gergeti Trinity Church was built in the 14th century. Its isolated location on top of a steep mountain surrounded by the vastness of nature has made it a symbol for Georgia. . . #georgia #kazbegi #stepantsminda #gergeti #holytrinitychurch
Low cost airlines, new rooms with Airbnb, and the obsession with growth have led some cities to be saturated with tourists.🙈 The ‘overtourism’ has reached headline news with protests from residents and graffiti saying “Tourist Go Home”. Enjoying beautiful cities like Amsterdam, Barcelona and Prague is getting more and more difficult. For example, the Czech capital Prague is the 5th most popular European city for tourists. They all congregate in the narrow street of Old Town. Visiting Charles Bridge in the afternoon is my definition of a nightmare (I have to admit I’m a bit agoraphobic😅). The solution? Visit the city at 6 in the morning! The Old Town Square is then tourist free, and it’s a great time to take pictures. As they say, the world belongs to those who wake up early.🎉 . . #czechrepublic #prague #oldtownsquare #overtourism #wakeupearly
Here I am, running in the rain over the mountain surrounding the ancient rock-hewn town of Uplistsikhe, Georgia.🤩 Do I do this every day?🤔 Well… probably not. The treadmill is usually my only scenery. When I go to the gym at all!🙈 It's no secret that what goes on Instagram isn't always reflective of what happens in real life. Most of the time it is highly stylized content masquerading as a documentation of reality. People use filter, increase the size of their eyes, and curate every moment of their life to look good. It’s social media! Aesthetics are valued way above authenticity. And it might be pointless demanding more authenticity from something that doesn’t necessarily require it. Anyway, no image we choose to put out into the world is truly real. It’s just an image. . . #georgia #uplistsikhe #running
I remember traveling in Syria, visiting Aleppo, Palmyra and Damascus (you can see some B&W pictures in my gallery). The country was beautiful and people welcoming. Looking at this large-scale painting based on photographs from Syrian cities by artist Tammam Azzam, it pains me to imagine what happened with this massive, multi-sided armed conflict, driving millions of people out the country. The painting from the “Storeys” project, shows buildings gutted by bombs, empty streets, and a sense of stillness. Azzam took the challenge to “create or rebuild destruction.” Like the photographs, the paintings are empty of people or any other sign of life. The Art Dubai exhibition was titles “The Road”: the idea of a road, of setting out on a long journey, is one that has suddenly become a link between millions of Syrians as they flee war. They take the dangerous journey from their homeland to a new homeland. I am quite certain they wish they never experienced war, and destruction and peacefully lived in their home with their families. . . #syria #painting #tammamazzam #artdubai #storeys #destruction
I love when life finds a way to grow out of improbable places and mixes with manmade constructions. Here, a solitary tree grows strong out of the Ananuri historical castle complex, about 72 km from Tbilisi, Georgia. Eventually nature will take over and these constructions will disappear. It is just a matter of time… . . #georgia #ananuri #castle #tree
