๐Ÿ˜žโ›„Trudgingโ›„๐Ÿ˜ž Here we have our intrepid foursome trudging through the trial that is Caradhras. The scenes in the movie never fail to put me on the edge of my seat! Huh. Maybe I should watch it now. Because after my cleaning spree yesterday, I am absolutely Wiped. Out. I doubt I could sit up if I did watch this. It is so damned frustrating. There are worlds to conquer! And I am so, so tired. I know how they feel. I feel like I'm buried under a ton of snow. This is what I was talking about in my post last week. I have been incredibly tired since we got back from the Thanksgiving trip. Yesterday I had a spark of energy, and I had so much to do! (I got a lot done!) I may have overdone it. Because today I am right back where I started. Absolutely zombied. I have so much trouble pacing myself. This is so hard. And don't worry, I'm not going to make it a habit to talk about this. I am simply done, stick a fork in me. My day is cooked. #TolkienYule - Caradhras #12DaysofHogwarts - House elves: Favorite Magical Creatures - tbh house elves kind of creep me out. I'd go with Fawkes, every time. ๐Ÿ˜ #DickensDecember - Bells - I didn't have the energy to round up my bells so I'll have to do that later #bookstagram #books #Tolkien #JRRTolkien #Hobbits #FellowshipoftheRing #MiddleEarth #Tolkientribe #Frodo #Funkos #funkopops #Halflings #LOTR #LordoftheRings
โณ ๐Ÿ˜Ž On a Mission ๐Ÿ˜Žโณ I have been reading The Cruel Prince for a readalong #cruelprincereadalong with @missprint_ and our discussion is today for the first seven chapters. But I couldn't stop. Oops! This is the Owlcrate edition. And so far, I think this dark, broody cover depicts the mood of the book better than the bright, white one. Interesting. But just look at that naked book! ๐Ÿ˜ Today, much like Jude and the dwarves and Bilbo, I am on a Mission! Quest. Thing. I need to get my house sorted. I have already made some strides today, and I can't sit here long or I will lose my momentum. I need to organize and clean before I can get out any holiday decorations. It's a Rule. The map is in my edition of The Annotated Hobbit. Swipe to see the whole thing. I didn't know I had it for the Wilderland prompt! But this will do. And that mug is my very first book mug. I bought it at Barnes and Noble years ago. You can tell by how small it is! And now, I bid you au revoir. I won't say adieu, but look forward to catching up later. As always, I am very thankful for the community I have here. You guys. โค And guess what? We have sun today! โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ It has been so gloomy and cloudy here for so long. I have to strike while the iron is hot - and while I can see to clean! I think I have finally recovered from our Thanksgiving trip, so I am going to use my power (energy) for good! I want to do All the Things. ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿก Cozy vibes ๐Ÿก๐ŸŒฒ Does anything say cozy better than the picture of Hagrid's hut in the snow with smoke curling out of the chimney? I think not. So of course when I spied these little snow-covered houses at a craft show (for 50 cents each!) I had to have them. Sit tight folks, it is just the beginning of the Christmas village season! ๐Ÿก๐Ÿก๐Ÿก Today, along with Hagrid, I am showing you two beautiful books that make up a nice series. They are by local author Mary Casanova, from local publisher @uminnpress . I had met Mary in signing lines, but last winter we were both at a writing conference, and we had a lovely dinner together! She is the sweetest! These two picture books both feature woodcuts by Nick Wroblewski, and they are stunning! The newest one is Hush Hush, Forest, and this is the absolute coziest. I will show some pages in my stories today. This would make a lovely addition to any child's library! Hagrid would definitely approve! I have to say, when talking about the Wilderland, Hagrid and these books definitely take you there. Thank you to University of Minnesota Press for the beautiful review copies! You'll also find Hush Hush, Forest in my Best of 2019 roundup on the blog. #TolkienYule - Wilderland #12DaysofHogwarts - Hagrid's Hut: Books with Cozy Setting #DickensDecember - Community - I don't volunteer much any more (see my previous post 2 back), but I sit on the Board of a local organization called the Saint Paul Almanac that promotes the work of emerging writers and telling the story of Saint Paul and all its diverse communities. #bookstagram #books #HarryPotter #Potterhead #Hagrid #Hogwarts #keeperofkeysandgroundsathogwarts #picturebooks #kidlit #marycasanova #UniversityofMNPress #umpress #giftbooks #hushhushforest
๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒŒ Behold ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿƒ Can we just come right out and say that the best thing about Elrond's house is the library? Man. I love that library. And I love this Elrond! He is so great. I am so glad they did him with the judgy eyebrows! He doesn't get enough credit for his contribution, I think. He holds a lot of the information necessary to get this problem solved, and he is the driving force behind the Fellowship. Don't think of him as just the crabby dad giving Arwen a hard time. The books to the right are the two in the Crown's Game series by Evelyn Skye. They only barely qualify as white books, but they do have lots of snow in them. If a Russian-inspired fantasy with magicians and court intrigue and magical bakeries sounds good to you, this is the series for you! โ„๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฅง And is there anything better than snowfall in Hogsmeade? Nah. Didn't think so. If you saw my post yesterday, you got a lot of my Christmas Present and recent past. Maybe tomorrow I can do more of an origin story. Overall, I cannot complain too much these days. I put a lot of this in my Thanksgiving post. I am ever thankful for my husband. Without him, I don't know what I would do. And on this #FellowshipFriday I am very thankful for all of you! If you had to write your origin story, do you think it would be sad or happy? Tragic or typical? What character would you most like to see an origin story for? ๐Ÿ  ๐Ÿฆ Nest stack ๐Ÿฆ ๐Ÿ  Today one of the prompts is Book Decor. Well. Hmmm. I guess you could say my house is decorated in books? I mean. They are everywhere. This pic is a typical view of the end of the loveseat, where I sit when I watch TV with my hubs. Not to be confused with the stack next to (or on) the chaise lounge, where I usually read at night. And then there are the stacks on the floor. But that doesn't really count as decor. To most people. I love being surrounded by books. It makes me happy, it makes me feel safe, and it gives me comfort. And that is the first thing you need to know about me. Since it was recently my three year Bookstaversary, I thought I'd do a version of #meetthebookstagrammer - my own version. ๐Ÿ“š Almost exactly five years ago, in Nov of 2013, my best friend passed away from cancer. The day after her funeral, we left to spend Thanksgiving in Houston. Two days later, I was in the hospital. I had a kidney blockage, and I can tell you, I have never felt such pain in my life. I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital, underwent a short procedure to remove the blockage and blast the stones, and then I went home to the in-laws. I have never been the same. Ever since then, I have been battling extreme fatigue. I was also struggling with my grief, and the combination was like enough to kill me. I went from doctor to doctor. They did every test and scan you could think of. I was having bad reactions to medication on top of it. I was almost catatonic at one point. This went on for a good two years. Then one day watching PBS, the guy said something that gave me an idea for a book. That sparked me enough to write 30k words in one month. But I was still tired. My business had suffered, I couldn't go to all the events I planned for authors, and I couldn't be as responsive to clients. So I wrote. The fatigue is still here. I am still writing. My client work has dwindled down to almost nothing, from about 12 clients right before I got sick. But I've got some interest from agents and I hope that this will be my next chapter. ๐ŸŽ™๐ŸŽถ Dancing Days ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ™ I have to go with Hermione on this one. Even though I don't have her Yule Ball Funko (with that intricate hair!). I just loved how she let go and danced with all her heart at this Ball. And if you think about it, it was probably the first time she had ever been to a dance. So, Dance like no one is watching, indeed! I am trying very hard to determine my strategy for getting these holiday preparations done. But I also want to work on my book. I find myself with a canceled appointment today. What to do, what to do? ๐Ÿ˜‚ I had somehow got it in my head that today was my Bookstagramaversary. But when I looked back in my feed, I found that it was actually November 29, not December 5, of 2015. So wow. I missed it. But still, I'm going to post something tomorrow. A little Get to Know the Bookstagrammer. Something I've never done before. So come back for that! I do think, though, that today is actually my Blogaversary! I started my blog and my Bookstagram at about the same time. And Dec 5 stuck in my head, because it is also my stepmom's birthday. Before that, I had done an online Books column on a third party website for six years. Then they folded without notice. So I was glad to have my own space, under my own control. I'm very happy, now, to have this space! My blog has become almost an afterthought. I will do my Best of 2018 list soon. But not sure how long I will keep that. Still, I am wary of depending on third party platforms. They often disappoint eventually. Meanwhile, what are you doing in this Christmas Present to celebrate the season? Whether it is Yuletide, Solstice, Hannukah, Kwanza or Christmas, this is a time of year for cheer and spreading joy. I just love it. ๐ŸŽ„ #TolkienYule - Barrow Downs - which prompt I did not follow at all. #12DaysofHogwarts - Yule Ball, Weird Sisters: Book and Music - the book is the Harry Potter Artifact Vault #DickensDecember - Christmas Present - I finished A Christmas Carol last night! ๐Ÿ˜ญ #bookstagram #books #HarryPotter #Potterhead #Hermione #YuleBall #WeirdSisters #ArtifactVault #instabooks #booksandmusic #booksbooksbooks #Funko #Funkopop
๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿค— Influencer entry ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ“š Hello to the Hodgsons! I am Linda, and I'd love to be considered for your influencer rep search! Like everyone else, I have an undying love of books, but I am also a bit of a word geek. I love letters, fonts, languages, and writing of all kinds! I have been in love with your signs since the first time I saw them! It is such a fun product line and the variety is endless! I live in Minnesota, and I am a writer, editor and publicist. For the past 8 years, I have run my own boutique agency. I am a Professional Promoter. ๐Ÿ˜ And I would love the chance to help your business succeed! It's what I do. I would love to brainstorm promotional ideas, product specials, and strategy! But I'd be just as happy simply talking about your signs on my account. I probably spend too much time on Instagram, but when I'm not here, I am currently working on a couple projects, such as being part of an editorial board for an anthology, and doing publicity consulting for another anthology, and working on two books of my own. I love calligraphy, photography and book arts, and all things miniature. Thanks for considering my post. I hope you find just the reps you need, and if that includes me, that would be awesome! #bookishsignsinfluencer #booksigns #books #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #bookdecor #herestobettershelfies
๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŽ„Christmas Past๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ† This is one of the illustrations from the Nonesuch copy of the Christmas Books by Dickens. Here we have Old Fezziwig and Mrs. Fezziwig, cutting a rug, under the mistletoe, as promised yesterday! (And to answer the question of who I'd like to meet - Aragorn. Always Aragorn.) โš”โš” This is the book that contains all the stories that we are doing for the readalong this month. A Christmas Carol, The Chimes, and A Cricket on the Hearth. I've never read the last two. And there are two more stories in this collection, so I'll probably finish it out. I've got lots to do. I didn't get home from Thanskgiving until last Friday, and then it took me a full day to recover. So I need to STEP ON IT. I am keen to get this party started. Cards out, tree up, Best of 2018 blog post up. But first, what to do with all these books? ๐Ÿค” And since today's stop is Tom Bombadil's house, I thought that went well with Fezziwig. I think those two would get along! And I just did a Ravenclaw post the other day, so I didn't want to do another one so soon. ๐Ÿง ๐ŸŽฉ What the Dickens ๐ŸŽฉ ๐Ÿง I'm all in on reading Dickens this month! I was up way too late last night reading Stave One and the annotations in my illustrated edition (the book in the background). These are most of my Dickens collection. I have a copy of Bleak House somewhere. But then, I may not have kept it. I seriously need to do a complete utter book reorganization. It is way out of control after the book-buying binge I have been on the past year and a half. Way. I realized last year that my annotated copy was abridged. So last night when I was set to read Stave One, I chose the little paperback. And they left out a lot! Dang. All these years I've been missing stuff! But that's corrected now. I will be sharing some pages of my vintage copy of the Christmas Books later this month. The bottom book is my reissue of the Nonesuch edition of the Christmas Books, which has some lovely illustrations. I'll be reading the next two stories for the readalong from that edition. #DickensDecember - Caroling - if you look at the background book on the left, you can see a little street urchin singing! #12DaysofHogwarts - characters under mistletoe - I was going to share a pic of Old Fezziwig and his wife dancing under the mistletoe but I will show that later! #TolkienYule - Old Forest - as tempting as it is to always talk about Ents (especially since I'm also reading Two Towers!), I am thinking more of the rapid industrialization of England at this time and how that must have impacted so many delicate areas. #bookstagram #books #Dickens #CharlesDickens #bookstack #Tolkien #TwoTowers #readalong #readthroughmiddleearth #christmasreads #achristmascarol #vintagebooks #Dickensian #christmasbooks
๐ŸŒ โณBegin againโณ๐ŸŒ  Today's #TolkienYule prompt is Crickhollow, which always reminds me of Godric's Hollow. And I get a horrible sense of foreboding, no matter how many times I read Fellowship of the Ring, and I hope they all make it out. Right now I'm reading Two Towers, which is full of strife and hardship for all members of the Fellowship. But it is worth it to meet the Ents again. This time of year always makes me think about beginnings and endings. I've just pulled together my wrap-up for November. Swipe to see. It is miserly and paltry. But look at the stack for December! Haha, second swipe. She laughs. It was a teetering pile, I can tell you. It was like playing Book Jenga. And I know I've forgotten something. But that's just as well. I had to pull some books off when I remembered others. There is a review book that is not on here. And I will be reading more than just A Christmas Carol, but if I put my Dickens Christmas Books on this stack, it would be the last straw. Anyway, if I get through this, I'll make my goal for the year. And that would make me very happy! I'm going to frontload my month, just in case. I seem to be getting hijacked lately. I read and watched the videos for Much Ado About Nothing all last night, and it was fantastic. What a great readalong! Thanks to Amy @thebookishcookier for #thebookishcookierbardalong I also hope to make some time to watch some Christmas movies (aka Harry Potter), and I'm trying to decide what I want to do for my third Bookstagramaversary. For now, enjoy the first blush of magic. ๐Ÿˆ๐ŸŽ„Roll YuleTide๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿˆ Okay. I may have taken some liberties with the tagline for a certain popular college football team. But the game is on at sonic boom level here so I can't be held responsible for internalizing some of it. Anyway, I am all in for this season! ๐Ÿคถ I am perhaps participating in a ridiculous amount of readalongs and challenges this month. Swipe to see the three challenges I am hoping to keep up with! They all look so great. And today I'm starting A Christmas Carol, one of my favorite stories, because the Dickens challenge comes with a readalong too! = Happy Me. This pic is a spread from my favorite edition of A Christmas Carol, which is annotated! It has great details of all the customs and societal realities of the time, in true Dickens fashion. Christmas was only a time for plenty for those who had plenty all year round. And the candies are thanks to @hardcoversandcoffee from our Minnesota Bookstagram meetup. Bethany had door prizes for everyone! I chose the chocolate. ๐Ÿซ Thanks, Bethany! And it has started to snow here. I am very happy we got home yesterday, as it is really coming down. It was a 10 day extended Thanksgiving trip, and I hate to whine about it, but it almost did me in. More on that later... Today, in addition to making meatballs for an epic spaghetti feast that we are cooking up, I am toying with ideas for how to celebrate my third year Bookstagramaversary, as well as my third year Blogaversary. They are both on December 5, and it has been a grand adventure! Stay tuned for more on that... Are you all in for the yuletide celebrations? Or are you ambivalent, like my husband? Or are you an outright Scrooge? Tell me, I want to know! ๐Ÿ˜Ž โ›ฑ Vacation โ›ฑ ๐Ÿ˜Ž This is my Vacation Stack. Honestly. How optimistic! How ambitious! How naive! Truth is, I hardly read at all. Has anyone else ever noticed that it is a) hard to get any privacy on vacation and b) hard to find a hotel or vacation bed setup that might have an actual reading lamp? We had a great time with family. The cabin in the Ozarks was amazing. My husband's cousin put us all up, and we just pretty much chilled. The food was incredible, we made up some fancy drinks, and they lit their bonfire with a Roman candle. They don't do anything halfway. Then we went to Houston to hang with the father-in-law. Before you think ill of us, he had already planned a big Thanksgiving get together with the cousins on the MIL's side of the family. It would have been too hard for him to get to Arkansas. So there, again, we ate a lot and drank a lot. My FIL is a firm believer in the cocktail hour. And we did some work. I cleaned out my MIL's dresser. That was a little hard for him. But he wanted it done. And I got some time to finish Jane Eyre. Finally. And I realize JE is not even on this stack! ๐Ÿ˜‚ So how many of these books did I get to while actually on vacation? Two. I finished JE and I started Much Ado About Nothing. Tonight I'll binge it and watch the videos and be ready for our discussion tomorrow! I also brought along my little candle, in hopes that I might get some time in the bath. You should have seen the tub at the vacation home! It was a whirlpool and I didn't get a minute in it. ๐Ÿ™ Discussion for Jane Eyre was today and yesterday, but my IG was glitching and kept stopping as soon as I opened it. Ugh! So frustrating! It lasted 24 hours. Did anyone else have this trouble? It will be very nice to be back home. But I think it will take me a little while to recover. Maybe I'll read all weekend. ๐Ÿ˜Š Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? #bookstagram #books #bookstack #bookmanialife #vacationreads #booksbooksbooks #JaneEyre #brontereadalong #thebookishcookierbardalong
๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿฑ Curiosity ๐Ÿฑ ๐Ÿ“š The road trip continues... and I'm having trouble finding any time to read! But it has been wonderful seeing family and friends. I am sure you have noticed that my CR on my profile has been Jane Eyre for what seems an inordinately long stretch (what? You haven't noticed? Oh). But I got NO reading time over the past week, except the other night when I stayed up late. And I am *almost* done with JE. Just about 50 pages left. Alas, today is another day of things we must do. Getting down to the wire, as we leave tomorrow, so it is also getting down to nuts and bolts. I have to pack up my mother-in-law's clothes. Sigh. I sure miss her. It is not the same without her here. Things don't always happen as you thought they might, right? I am reading a book now (well, not *right* now, but I've gotten to the point for our readalong discussion) called the Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. And it is a bit like Alice in ways. I picked up this lovely little Alice at the Half Price Books warehouse sale last month. I could not believe it was only 50 cents! Look how pretty! And with the Tenniel illustrations too. I'll have to get around to showing more of my Alice collection here. I may be repeating myself. I am so tired. But look, at least I have changed over from fall to winter aesthetic! Ha! Giving myself credit for that. Looking forward to decorating when I get home! โ„โ˜ƒ๏ธโ„โ˜ƒ๏ธ What's your favorite thing about winter?? #bookstagram #books #Alice #CheshireCat #AliceinWonderland #curiousierandcuriousier #Macmillan #funko #funkopop #bookmanialife #booksbooksbooks #booknerd #booksandcoffee
๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’™ Houses ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ  I'm traveling, and what did I do before I left? Well, I loaded up my phone with book pics. But did I spread it out so I would have lots to talk about? Ha. No! I took a bunch of pics of the newest Harry Potter set! So that's what you get. And partly because I am not keeping it. So I will take even more. It is a lovely set. And I am seeing all KINDS of posts on here about everyone just hunkering down and reading Harry Potter! So this is fitting. I'm in the middle of a series reread. And while I'd like to pick up Half Blood Prince, I am also in the middle of several readalongs! A couple of those have fallen off the rails. But I'll continue nonetheless. They were all things I wanted to read anyway. And since I don't have any of my Harry Potter books with me, I'll just settle down and finish Jane Eyre like a good little reader. And so on. Sorry I've been MIA. I mean to go through and catch up on posts I've missed! I went to a family member's cabin in the Ozarks for the holiday weekend, and their internet was kind of spotty. Plus we were so busy. We ate and drank and talked and walked and played games and saw trumpeter swans and watched football and had fires and had our picture taken by a drone. It was fun, and now I'm in TX visiting the FIL and exhausted. ๐Ÿ˜Œ How was your weekend? #bookstagram #books #booknerd #HarryPotter #Potterhead #Ravenclaw #BrianSelznick #JKRowling #bookstack #Housepride #travelreads #booksbooksbooks #HarryPotter20thanniversary
๐Ÿƒ ๐Ÿฆ‹ Grateful ๐Ÿฆ‹ ๐Ÿƒ So many things to be thankful for, really. I had a heckuva year this year. It was difficult in many ways, with health problems and loss. But there were good things too. Above it all, I'm thankful that I get to live my life mostly the way I want to. I may not have a million dollars or Belle's library, but I do have a wonderful husband and great kids. I may not be doing everything I want every day, due to health issues, but I am not forced to do more than I am able. And you guys. I really love it here! I have more fun talking about and looking at books here than I ever thought possible. I feel very close to getting my book done, and all of your creativity spurs me on. Right now I'm in a rental house on a lake in Arkansas. My husband's cousin has a cabin down the road. Well, it is a very nice cabin, but they couldn't fit us all, so she rented an overflow cabin! We are right on the water and there is a huge jacuzzi and we have some of the cool cousins to share it with! I am looking forward to a very fun weekend! ๐Ÿ˜ Happy Thanksgiving to all my US friends who celebrate it. And even if you don't, I hope you have a lot to be thankful for. Oh, and these books? ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ‚Seasons change๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒฒ I am very pleased to have been part of the recent readalong of Macbeth. I think I haven't read it since high school! And this was such a wonderful, fully-rounded experience. Besides the chat, which was fun and full of insightful comments, there are videos! They are not long, but Amy does such a fantastic job of hitting the high notes, of themes, important plot points, and historical significance. So in no time at all, you are understanding Shakespeare! If you are at all interested in reading Shakespeare, why not join us for the next play? It is Much Ado About Nothing, and we start reading today! I had to share my editions here - aren't these covers amazing? And while you're at it, go follow Amy @thebookishcookier and check out all her amazing cookies! ๐Ÿ˜ I mean, what's not to like? This was my stop in Mordor for the #middleearthroadtripreadathon and there was plenty of death and mayhem! So that fit. I won't say it really intimidated me, but I find so much more joy in Shakespeare when I have someone to discuss it with. I often said Macbeth was my favorite play of his, and there is so much in there that I love. It was a treat to read it this way! Now I'm off on an actual roadtrip! So how many books should I bring? (I think we will gone 10 days?) I'll post a stack in my stories. Give me your roadtrip suggestions! ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ˜ Boxset ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ’™ Remember that time I bought the Bloomsbury set of Harry Potter but couldn't part with it? And I want to keep the originals but they are mostly my son's so I want to get him another set. Then I got this set from @thepottercollector and I thought okay! Great! Nice set, great Brian Selznick covers, this is going to work! Then I got a better look at the BOX. Oh man. Why am I such a sucker for cool boxes? But no. I won't keep this one. It is going home with my son at Christmas, when he can take it home in the car. I will not forget. And I have just taken a whole slew of photos that will keep me happy for a while. But seriously. This BOX. The other day I had a similar box experience. I was at Barnes & Noble (where we had our first-ever Minnesota Bookstagrammer meetup!) and we were looking around, and spied the Tolkien stories (the recent releases taken from The Silmarillion). All together in a boxset! And I already have them all! Reader. I resisted. Give me a medal. ๐Ÿฅ‡โ˜บ What is your weakness? Collector's editions? Boxsets? Extra content? ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽฉClassic๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿ˜Ž I have been making great strides with reading classic books over the past few months. It is not that I didn't want to before, but I must admit, I was succumbing to the hype of all the new releases. I read Wuthering Heights back in July with a great group, and now we are reading Jane Eyre. It may be a bit of a Bronte kick, but I don't care. I have always loved Wuthering Heights, and it was great to chat with folks about it! I am almost halfway through Jane Eyre. I have to confess, it doesn't have quite the spark that WH does for me. I've read it before, and I know lots of people like it. And I do like Jane; she is interesting. And I love some of the passages I'm noticing about how a woman feels, or what a woman should be allowed to do. This must have been quite a revelation back in the day! I also read The Picture of Dorian Gray last month at the urging of @coffeecoffeecat and I really liked it! It was a new one for me. It held some surprises! That one went in my Halloween Reads post (the link is in my bio). What classic should I read next? I have Northanger Abbey on my stack here. Any other suggestions?
