Today I’m testing out @daveskillerbread 🍞 for my preworkout meal...it was delicious 🤤 _____ Brian and I have been eating the Ezekiel Bread (low sodium) for quite sometime, but we were in @costco the other day and saw Dave’s Killer Bread and decided to give it a try. _____ So this bread is just a LITTLE bit higher in fat and carbs then the Ezekiel Bread but.....Dave’s Killer Bread has two more grams of Protein than the Ezekiel Bread and you all know we love the protein around here. 🤣 In my opinion this bread just tastes better than the Ezekiel, so it will definitely become a staple in our house moving forward. Overnight Oats 😍. I’d like to take a minute to share something that has been on my mind a lot. _____ I have scrolled through my IG feed so many times and noticed so many, overflowing mason jars of oats and immediately thought to myself, wow that’s a lot of oatmeal, I wonder if they are eating all of that or are they staging that photo to make it look better? 🤷🏻‍♀️ But guess what, thats none of my damn business right?! The point of this post is to tell you that the food I’m posting is of what I’m actually eating. Do I like my stuff to look pretty for the picture of course, but you will not see me beefing up a jar or bowl just to have a prettier picture. I am here to share how I am living MY #nutfree life in hopes that you look at my posts and realize you can make all of this stuff too, nut free living or not! #justbeingreal ______ Here are the details on my overnight oats which are in a 2 cup pyrex bowl. 1/2 cup of old fashion oats 1/2 cup of soy milk 1 scoop of @questnutrition 1 tbsp chia seeds ______ Mix it all up in a container that you can seal and pop it in the fridge overnight for 7-9 hours. Its that time again....#whoiam Wednesday and I want to point out that I did not post last Wednesday, because.....well shit happens. 🤣 This leads me to the point of this post: How I act when shit as I call it happens. 😱 _____ Last Wednesday I spent the day in the hospital, (yes I’m fine) because well you guessed it shit happened. Now how did I react?! Yup, I cried and whined a lot because I missed a few days of working out 🙄, well news flash Jaclyn...You are alive and well, so get over it! Moving on... ______ Today...I could not deadlift 285 lbs I tried 4 times (two weeks ago I pulled 300 lbs), I was so mad 😡 . I even throw a slight temper tantrum in the gym..AGAIN, news flash Jaclyn, you are freaking strong and NOT PERFECT and god damnit shit happens! If you saw my story yesterday then you saw that I made a Basil and Avocado Pesto Spread 😍. This was a new experiment for me and since it came out quite delicious I figured I’d share it with you all today. I used the spread inside chicken rolls up 🤤. I personally prefer this pesto as a spread because it is pretty thick but If you wanted to make it thinner to be a better sauce you could always add extra oil. _____ Here are the details on the meal Pesto: 1 large avocado 1 1/4 cup of fresh basil Juice from 1 whole lemon 2-3 cloves of garlic minced 3 tbsp oil 2 tbsp water Blend it all up in the food processor. _____ Roll-Ups: Preheat the oven to 375, lay out your thin sliced chicken breast, smear the pesto on one side the chicken, place a piece of mozzarella cheese (or whatever you prefer) on top of the spread and then roll the chicken up tight, place it in a greased casserole dish and bake it for 30-35 minutes. That chocolate 🍫 craving hit me hard 👊🏻 again tonight, so I whipped up a batch of chocolate chip protein cookies 🍪! ____ I followed @cultivatewithkruti ’s recipe but modified the recipe to meet Brian’s nut allergy and of course our need for more protein! 🤗 ____ 1 cup of @dontgonuts nutfree chocolate spread 1/3 cup of coconut sugar 1/2 tbs coconut oil melted 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 cup cacao chips 1 scoop of @questnutrition chocolate protein powder _____ Preheat the oven to 350. Mix all of the ingredients together. Roll the dough into one inch balls (you will be able to get 12 on the cookie sheet). Push the balls down flat. Tip: make sure if the dough cracks you push it all back together otherwise these cookies will fall apart. Bake for 8 minutes. This morning I made Ezekiel #toast with a homemade strawberry cream cheese (light), wow butter and a fresh strawberry on top . To make the strawberry cream cheese I took the fresh strawberry chia jam that I made at the beginning of this week and mixed it together with @traderjoes light cream cheese. 💥 It was so delicious 🤤. Dinner last night was full of veggies! Brian and I each had a Trader Joe’s Veggie Burger and a side of Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi. 😍 For a girl who loves a good burger this veggie burger definitely hit the spot. _____ The gnocchi was delicious! I took @cleaneatsbytay ’s advise and cooked them the way she suggested and they were perfect 👌🏻. Check out her story for the details on that! 💕 _____ The gnocchi was topped with my homemade pesto and a sprinkle of extra sunflower seeds for some crunch. First let me tell you what’s in it, then I’ll share the macros. _____ I altered the waffle recipe slightly from what’s on the back of the birch benders bag.
