"The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking" -Albert Einstein
It's hard to believe it was 4 years ago this week that I moved to Toronto. Change is good🤙
I took this the other night during the full moon....
It was amazing to get so close to Elephants... They are such badass creatures. So enormous, yet so graceful (unless you piss them off ofcourse). I also learned that some elephants have 5 legs, never knew that before.... 👀
Sleepy lion 🦁. It was just after sunrise when we got to the lions on our Safari, and there was a lot of yawning going on... Believe it or not it gets down close to freezing in the mountains without the sun, as you can see by this guys breathe.
The sunset on our first day in Cape Town was arguably the best. You can see just how much taller Table Mountain is than Lions Head in the bottom right...
I can't think of a better way to spend my last day in Cape Town. Not a cloud in the sky, 23 degrees on Signal Hill and just a few minutes wait for the right wind to blow off the shore, then off we went. This was one of the most calming and yet exhilarating experiences I've ever had. Better than any rollercoaster ever. Skydiving is next I think 🤔Thank you Sisonke Day Tours for setting up this unforgettable experience with @flycapetown
! Check them out if you are in Cape Town 🤙
A quick edit from our last group hike up Lions Head yesterday morning. We finally had clear skies and what an amazing way to cap off our trip together. Cape Town is beautiful, much more to follow...
There is no better way to end the day than staring up at the stars around a fire with friends.
It was a crystal clear night after our Safari in South Africa. So many new experiences, friends and foods. Looking forward to sharing more from this beautiful country.
The 360 view from Table Mountain is nothing short of incredible. We made it to the top just in time for sunset, a great end to day 1 in Cape Town.

and I gathered on the farm for some acoustic jams. I recently got better audio from the other mic, so I put together this video. Check out the full version on my YouTube channel, link in bio.
As we walked through town we finally got our first glimpse of the all mighty Matterhorn. One of the tallest summits in Europe, standing 4,478 meters tall. We got to our hostel then went exploring downtown where we checked out the sweet outdoor rink and enjoyed some pizza, beer and live music.
The next morning we took to the slopes... It's truly remarkable just how high up the lifts go. Lift after lift after lift all the way up to 3899m. Which is one of the worst places for your camera/phone to die, so thanks to @marktrif
for the back up 📸. Skiing with a view like this, it just doesnt feel real, its so breathtaking it's like being in a video game. Believe it or not, it even makes the beer taste better 😁 This was our final destination as a group, and a great end to the trip it was. On a side note, a day after we left it snowed 7 meters and the entire town was shut down, under state of emergency. So yeah we lucked out...

Our final stop as a group was #Zermatt
Switzerland, but it took some time on the road to get there. It rained for the first half of the drive, but the further we got into the alps the more it cleared up and we were rewarded with blue skies. And that's when we realized those white things in the distance weren't clouds, those were mountains... What is amazing to me about Zermatt is that the only way to get there is by train, so there are no cars in town. We got aboard the train in #Tasch
and headed into Zermatt as the last bit of sun bounced off the mountains peaks.

Zermatt Part 2 coming soon.
Hard to believe I finished this short doc 1 year ago this week! It is now a part of the @tvodocs
climate watch series.

The Ojibway Prairie Complex has one of the most diverse ecosystems in Canada, providing habitat to over 4000 species:
•160 of which are provincially rare •10 of which cannot be found anywhere else in canada.
•1 which can't be found anywhere in the world.
Last September I went out to BC to visit the mountains... oh yeah and @j_brissette_
We took a day trip out to Chilliwack as the sun lost its battle to the rain. It's not the longest hike to Lindeman lake, but it has a pretty steep incline the whole way. As always, the view was worth it.
Not seen in this video is the disappointing amount of garbage people left at the lake... If you can hike it into the Bush, you can hike it out.

We left Italy bright and early for Montgenèvre, France and were rewarded with an incredible sunrise.
We got a few hours in on the slopes before an insane blizzard blew in and shut everything down and we were forced to walk back to town... Our day on the hill got cut short, thus spontaneous snowball fights ensued.. We drove to grab some supplies but got stuck on our way back going up hill. The rental company cheaped out on winter tires and gave us chains instead 👎. But all's well that ends well. The next morning we dug the car out from under 3 feet of snow and got back on the road... @andrea.ceolato @distefano
What is not to love about Italy... If I was to summarize new years eve in Torino it would probably go something like:
Great people, amazing food and gallons of wine..
We then left Torino, headed for the countryside where we watched the sun disappear behind the mountains. •
