In May I travelled to South Africa with @goldenfuturesouthafrica
, a volunteer organization comprised of university students and young professionals aimed at empowering the youth of South Africa through education.

🔊 Throwing it back to a short film I shot over the summer of 2015 called 'Nature Remains". The film follows multiple backcountry trips with @clintzold
up around Temagami, Ontario and discusses the importance of spending time in nature. Have a great long weekend folks 🤙 •Link to full video in profile or IGTV•
Twas a beautiful afternoon in Cape Town and the call from Table Mountain could be ignored no longer... Hiking to the top is a solid workout, "the original stairmaster", to which we were rewarded with sunset views and rehydrated with birthday champagne. @kmgallaghermk @swyrcltr @thesasher.

Fun fact: That little critter is called a 'Dassie' which are the closest living relatives to the modern day elephant and sea cow. They live in the nooks and crannies of rocky habitats in colonies of up to 80 and the soles of their feet have soft pads covered in sticky secretions to provide traction. Their greatest threat is the black eagle who usually attacks from the direction of the sun, however the Dassies eyes have evolved with a membrane that shields the pupil from the sun so they can spot enemies. Neato.
No matter where I go, Ontario is home, and what a beautiful home it is. 5 years ago @clintzold
and I on a trip to Temagami for the first time that changed me forever. This is where I really started to feel a deeper connection with nature and with myself, a greater understanding of something more...
I caught the tail end of this beautiful sunset last night and it was quite a pleasant sight...
Happy National Camera Day! I took this with my drone last summer while hiking in BC with @j_brissette_
Oh how I can't wait to return...
Love is a beautiful thing...especially when you get to stand beside your best friends on their big day. @kay_la23
What a magical week in tropical paradise with so many of my favourite people!

It's hard to believe it was 4 years ago this week that I moved to Toronto. Change is good🤙
I took this the other night during the full moon....
It was amazing to get so close to Elephants... They are such badass creatures. So enormous, yet so graceful (unless you piss them off ofcourse). I also learned that some elephants have 5 legs, never knew that before.... 👀
Sleepy lion 🦁. It was just after sunrise when we got to the lions on our Safari, and there was a lot of yawning going on... Believe it or not it gets down close to freezing in the mountains without the sun, as you can see by this guys breathe.
The sunset on our first day in Cape Town was arguably the best. You can see just how much taller Table Mountain is than Lions Head in the bottom right...
I can't think of a better way to spend my last day in Cape Town. Not a cloud in the sky, 23 degrees on Signal Hill and just a few minutes wait for the right wind to blow off the shore, then off we went. This was one of the most calming and yet exhilarating experiences I've ever had. Better than any rollercoaster ever. Skydiving is next I think 🤔Thank you Sisonke Day Tours for setting up this unforgettable experience with @flycapetown
! Check them out if you are in Cape Town 🤙
A quick edit from our last group hike up Lions Head yesterday morning. We finally had clear skies and what an amazing way to cap off our trip together. Cape Town is beautiful, much more to follow...
There is no better way to end the day than staring up at the stars around a fire with friends.
It was a crystal clear night after our Safari in South Africa. So many new experiences, friends and foods. Looking forward to sharing more from this beautiful country.
The 360 view from Table Mountain is nothing short of incredible. We made it to the top just in time for sunset, a great end to day 1 in Cape Town.
