➡️➡️➡️CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT⬅️⬅️⬅️ ↪️ Cocktail world friends, my birthday is October 20th and my favorite cocktail is an Old Fashioned. ↪️ Coincidentally, Old Fashioned week is November 1 through 10. ↪️ So I had this fun idea, create a hashtag for everyone to use as a resource for cocktail inspiration for Old Fashioned week while also helping me celebrate my birthday! ↪️ What to do: Create an Old Fashioned with the following components: a spirit, a bitters, a sugar, and a garnish. It's really that easy. Post your Old Fashioned on October 20th and I'll feature all entries in my story feed. Use the hashtag #oldfashionedmeg so that I can see your post. Feel free to send me a message too. ↪️ HAPPY POSTING!!! . . . Grapefruit Scotch Old Fashioned 2oz @monkeyshoulder Scotch 0.5oz simple syrup 4 drops @bittermens Hopped Grapefruit bitters 1 amaro cherry 1/2 slice grapefruit

I wanted to make a cocktail that had similar flavors to my bread pudding, but without the berries. I'm lactose intolerant, so I used coconut milk and creme in my bread pudding!!! Let me tell you, it's actually better that way 😋 So here's my *Bread Pudding Cocktail* 1.5oz @bearcreekdistillery Spiced Rum 2oz coconut milk 1oz lemon juice 4 drops @bittermens Burlesque bitters Garnish: candied lemons from @traderjoes
Passoãlitan 1.5oz @bondurantbrothersdistillery Moonshine 0.75oz @passoa Passion Fruit Liqueur 0.75oz lime juice 0.5oz @grandmarnierusa . Glass from @kegworks
I didn't have any mint handy, so today I made a... Fall Julep 2oz @knobcreek Rye 0.5oz homemade holiday syrup 2" fresh ginger diced . Muddle ginger with syrup. Add whiskey and stir. Strain over crushed ice. Enjoy this delicious treat!!! . Julep cup purchased from @kegworks . Holiday simple syrup Bring 1 cup of water to boil. Add 1 cup of sugar and dissolve. Add 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 nutmeg nugget, 1 inch sliced fresh ginger, 0.5tsp whole cloves, and 0.25oz whole allspice. Let seep for 20 minutes with a lid on and stove off (this is the updated process from an earlier post). After 20 minutes, strain into desired container. . This process versus an earlier post will yield a less rich syrup style mixer.
Spicy Moon Drop 2oz @belleisleshine Honey Habanero moonshine 10 moon drop grapes (found at @wegmans ) 0.5oz lemon juice 0.5oz simple syrup

Figgy Old'n Ginger 2oz @knobcreek Rye 0.5oz homemade ginger syrup 4 fresh figs (muddled) . . . Guess who forgot to add bitters?!? But this drink is a little thicker in consistency than I expected, which is ok. I still likes the flavor. I'll be using the remainder of the figs in a syrup!
Bacon and Basil Lemonade 2oz bacon fat washed @knobcreek Rye 6 Basil leaves 0.75oz fresh squeezed lemon juice 4oz club soda . . . Fat washing (first go at this) 1oz bacon grease. Let sit in 10oz of liquor for 3 hours. Put in fridge until grease solidifies and scoop out.
Not sure what to call this, but I wanted a hint of smoke with these flavors 1.5oz @kodistilling gin 1oz @elementshrub Blueberry Rosemary shrub 4 dashes @owlandwhale sea smoke bitters 3oz @traderjoes ginger beer . Thoughts: try before adding ginger beer next time. Might try a tonic instead to really get the other flavors
