GRL POWER: Standing together. Building each other up and never tearing each other down. Celebrating each other’s success. Being a shoulder to lean on. Reminding each other that “perfection” doesn’t exist and it’s pursuit is a waste of time and energy. Reciprocating kindness and empathy. Accepting each other no matter where we are in life, where we’ve been or where we’re headed..... “come as you are , not as you think you should be” .. true girl power does not discriminate, hate, or judge. This one goes out to all my girl followers because I love you so much! We all know that finding true friendship that embodies “girl power” can be really difficult. I always say “you get what you give.” So hopefully this will inspire us all to work a little harder toward genuine support+love for one another and we can call it a win-win situation for everyone 😏 Together we are stronger. What does girl power mean to you? ❤️❤️❤️❤️ @express #expressxoliviaculpo
Last morning in Tokyo 🌅❤️
I’m a little late with posting my New Years resolution and I wasn’t really sure I was going to post anything anyway because I was honestly worried about being judged or ridiculed and then it dawned on me: that’s what I want to work on!!! I want to work on loving myself and living to enjoy THIS moment. Whether it’s good, bad, or ugly. We all go through times that are hard. We all KNOW that they aren’t road blocks, but opportunities to grow, learn, and become better. It’s hard to remember how to have compassion for ourselves when so much of society (especially social media) trains us to base our self worth on the validation and approval of others. Fitting in, reaching the goal, getting the “like”, etc. So, this year I don’t want to let my FEAR of not being good enough get in the way of my ability to LOVE. I want to love myself enough to be the best friend and person I can be to others. To have compassion, respect, and integrity. To communicate love and to be honest. To judge less. To know my worth. To love enough to never compare, and genuinely praise the success of others because a win for one of us is a win for all of us. To love enough to know that what happens TO you happens FOR you and that God always has a plan. To love enough to trust my intuition, even when it is telling me something I don’t want to believe. To love enough to know that my stubborn nature will never be able to change the unloving things anyone or anything brings and that’s OK because that is THEIR problem..... Because here’s the real kicker- it isn’t until we love ourselves that we are really able to love others more. If we don’t love ourselves we have nothing to give. When someone is mean or angry or judgemental or hurtful it is not because they are bursting with love and joy inside, it’s because they are hurting inside. It isn’t until we address our own self hate that we are finally able to love to our fullest and deepest ability and be the best person we can be. To live our purpose. So for 2019, I want to LOVE! Love me, love you, love life, love this moment, and the little things because you never know what tomorrow will bring and life is too short to forget that. Who is with me?
