Baby Wolves first Howling Lesson 🐺 Why do Wolves howl? According to Doug Smith, a researcher at Yellowstone National Park, there are three reasons a wolf howls: 1. To enunciate to nearby wolves that the territory in which they are howling on is theirs and they will protect it at all costs. 2. To locate other members of the pack while on a hunt. 3. And to simply be social. It is not yet known just exactly what they are communicating, but scientific research has concluded that they do so to converse with one another.
