Building Boulders 🏋🏽‍♂️ In the past, I have heard over and over again that "shoulders make the man." Fast forward your thought process to include "or woman" and you've got a solid idea. Women totally changed the game when it comes to building their shoulders. They work hard to build solid, round shoulders that will make their tank tops and tube tops look amazing! - My approach to training my shoulders usually include a workout routine that includes the medial and rear deltoids. In my experience, when I focus more on my middle and rear head delts, it adds more shape and size. Focusing on your delts in this way will also help to increase your strength. - In my opinion, if there's one muscle group that screams power, it's the shoulders. Shoulders were once a primal symbol of masculinity and virility reserved for men. Finisher After your primary lifts are complete, finish your workout with a good exercise such as a “finisher”. My chest was pretty taxed in this workout, but I wanted to take full advantage of the “pump”. When doing a finisher really focus on the area you worked by making a mind- muscle connection. More than anything else, becoming a Great Finisher is about staying motivated from the beginning to the end. Great Finishers force themselves to stay focused on the goal, and never congratulate themselves on a job half-done. In the world of weight training, the most difficult movements build champs and the easy movements can sometimes produce twigs 😊 Before we go over any of the specifics of back training for width, lets chat about difficult to easy movements. First it’s important to build strength in very basic movements such as wide grip pull-ups, seated wide grip lat pulls, bent-over dumbbell rows. Get your back wide with these and then focus on shaping them with the cables and machines exercises. The key is knowing the place of each exercise. Do you want a wide back? Sleeve hugging Biceps! Get your pair while supplies last. Are you tired of grabbing dumbbells? Do you feel like your biceps have hit a wall in growth? Maybe you are the type that just want a little change in your workout routine? 💪🏼 In this video I use the TRX handles to work my biceps. Holding the TRX handles in each hand, turn yourself to face the anchor point. Assume a split-stance position with both feet facing forward and maintain this foot position throughout the exercise. Gently lean backwards, shifting your body weight over your back leg while extending (straightening) your elbows positioned at chest height. Keep your wrists in neutral position (straight, not bent) with palms facing the ceiling and elbows pointing towards the floor. Upward Phase: Exhale and slowly flex (bend) your elbows by pulling your entire body towards your hands. Your elbows should remain in front of you and pointed away from your body and your wrists should remain in a neutral position. Downward Phase: While maintaining your rigid torso, inhale and slowly lower your body back towards your starting position, extending (straightening) your elbows without your shoulders rolling forward. Keep your head and spine aligned together.
