I’m dreaming of a white Christmas ... I'm from Milwaukee and experienced snowy weather in December. It will always be a strange "Philing" to travel somewhere warm and see Christmas decorations. But I like seeing the ways people celebrate Christmas and the different customs from around the world. Some places celebrate on the 24th. Some have blackface Santa (not cool) some places have upside down Christmas trees. And the Majority of the Middle East don’t celebrate. So, no matter how you celebrate and whatever your traditions may be... I hope you have a GREAT holiday. Have you every experienced or seen a different type of Christmas tradition ? #dubai #dubailife #uae #windcollective #philtheculture

There have been so many Wonders of the World lists made from back in the day until now...Did you know, that of the original Seven Wonders, only the Great Pyramid at Giza remains relatively intact. That’s crazy, right? What's even crazier is that a few years ago, there was a vote for a new modern group of Seven Wonders and Giza wasn't recognized (SMH we have to respect our elders). Anyway, I stand on the Great Wall of China (one of the seven modern wonders) with nothing but positivity and a question! Which wonders of the world have you been to? #7wondersoftheworld #philtheculture #greatwallofchina #positivity
I hope it’s obvious that culture is a HUGE reason why I travel. I’m quick to wear another culture's attire, and when I do, I wear it with a sense of pride. I believe that culture is learned and culture is shared. While in Abu Dhabi, an Arabic man stopped me in my tracks and showed me the correct way to wear a #keffiyeh
(male head scarf). By sharing his knowledge, I Phil like he integrated me into his culture. Culture builds bridges and ties us together. And if you didn't already know... I love Philing the culture. What’s your favorite thing about different cultures? #philtheculture #selfie #culture #africagram @windcollective

Today is flag Friday. The flag behind me belongs to the Republic of Korea “ROK” - most commonly known as South Korea. The red & blue ying-yang in the center is called a #taeguk
It portrays the balance of the universe. Red for positive & blue for negative. The white represents peace & purity. The black marks mean so many things that if you want to know, you’ll have to google it. These Four colors represent the South Korean flag.🇰🇷 Have you ever been? Well in the meantime drop your countries flag emojis where you are from or where you are at in the comments. #korea #taegukgi #positivity #philtheculture #flagfriday #philtheculturephlagphriday
When it comes to culture, China is oozing with it, which explains why it’s one of my favorite countries. However, it breaks my heart knowing that in some parts of China it is holding re-education camps for Muslims. I thought when it came to religion - THIS communism country was chill about it. Well, this doesn’t seem voluntary nor does it seem morally right. Sucks. And just in case any of the Muslims homies from China that I've met are reading this …KEEP yo head up and stay POSITIVE. #philtheculture
If you’re looking at your phone right now … which you are … your spine angle is equivalent to that of an 8-year-old child sitting on your neck. The average person looks at their phone for 4.7 hours/day. Can you believe there is a syndrome called “text neck”? I have to figure out a way to put my phone down (where is @erykahbadu #PHONEDOWN
when I need her). One of my personal goals for 2018 was to finish three books and I’m currently half-way through my second book... Also, I just read that cell phones gives off Dopamine, which explains why it’s hard to put my phone down and why I can't sleep. But, I will achieve my book goal… so with that being said I have a few flights planned and I need some ideas for a good book that will make me put my phone down. #citizenmlondon #philtheculture #uk #london
Remember remember the 5th of November. On this day a long time ago in London, well before America beat the mess out of England to gain its freedom. A guy named Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the House of Parliament(Behind me). He got caught, and now people in the UK celebrate his failed plan...my point is this ... if you fail at something keep your head up ... that plan maybe celebrated for over 400 years. So plan with positivity b/c you never know how far that plan may go. #5thofnovember #uk #london #philtheculture
Goodness gracious great wall of China. The Great Wall is the longest man-made structure in the world. They say it’s visible from space, which I find hard to believe, but this Great Wall that’s over 2000 years old might be the best wonder of the world, but it's definitely my favorite... Have you ever been? ...
S/out to the homie @skinnywashere
for the dope footage! #philtheculture
The second largest city in the world looks like it’s not from this world. Seeing the skyline of Shanghai is like watching a sci-fi movie. The crazy thing about this city is that it's always changing. In the span of 10 years I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Shanghai numerous times, and each time it looks like a different place. It wasn't until I visited the famous skyline called the Bund (behind me) that I recognize I’m in Shanghai. This city has everything in the world. However, what makes Shanghai so great is the people. I’ve only had a positive experience when dealing with people who live in Shanghai. Even when I got hit by a motorcycle, the guy was nice enough to ask if I was OK unlike the time in Thailand when that one guy drove away. When he comes to Shanghai nothing but positive vibes. Have you ever been? #positivity #shanghai #china
Behind me is a tree that grants good fortune. You write what you want on that red piece of paper then connect it to the tree in hopes of good fortune. I have no idea how it works ... I just know it’s culture and I’m all about positive culture.
After I ate some fortune cookies, I paid a fortune to have my fortune TOLD. Turns out it says that “I’ll be alright,” so stay tuned for what my fortune HOLDS. What do you do for good fortune? #barz #philtheculture #china
7 days ago I was living in China🇨🇳 so I guess this is a flash back Friday... Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the ‘Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests’.
It’s a big palace where the emperor held worship ceremonies to pray for good weather and abundant harvests.
With that being said, how’s the weather treating you in your part of the world?
Behind me are some of the public housing buildings in Hong Kong. They are called “Choi Hung,” which in Cantonese means “rainbow.” Basically, I’m at the rainbow projects, and I hope this dope picture brings you a light of POSITIVITY.
