Yes it happens. Today I was the unlucky one to join the motorcycle accident club. Got caught by a sudden traffic jam. Car in front was only just able to stop. I tried to get past it but too late. Had to break hard, and directed myself left of the car and there we were, in the other lane, sliding and tumbling at 80 km/h in front of a truck with good intentions. After six hours in hospital it looks like my clothing and helmet took most of the fall. Almost the entire left side of my body is bruised and confused. I have a history with that. Hello painful ribs and hips and shoulder and fingers... Nothing broken, nothing lost. So I guess I was lucky. We'll see about the bike later on as the front and left side took a serieus beating. Not the roadside blues I had in mind.
In this case I thank Nexx, Richa, Segura, esquad and whatever brand of shoes I was wearing to have supported me during this unwelcome event And yes, also the six or seven people who stopped to check on me and kept me off my feet and away from the road 😐 Back home now, see ya. When I can walk and move again.
