How can we so easily get someone to lose 200 pounds in a year, but others struggle their entire lives to shed “the last 10 pounds?”🤔 . EGO.🛑 It’s the one thing that can make even the simplest of goals (like losing 10 pounds) IMPOSSIBLE. . HUMILITY.💫 On the flip side of this coin is the one thing that will make even the most challenging of goals (like losing 200 pounds in a year) POSSIBLE, and dare I say EFFORTLESS at times.🤷🏼‍♀️ . Amen! 🙌🏼 Getting results begins with setting goals —a process that is daunting for most people. Not because they don’t want to reach their goals, but because they lack faith in their ability to ACTUALLY do so. . Too many times goals are set, yet never reached. Too many broken COMMITMENTS, and too many times feeling like a failure. After so many failed attempts, we begin to hate ourselves and believe we CANNOT do what we dreamed of doing like everyone else does. How do we climb out of this darkness and start creating RESULTS?! . Easy. The difference between those that get RESULTS and those that do not is one simple thing. It’s their ability to keep their PROMISES and value their COMMITMENTS to themselves. . Whether their commitment is as little as 5 minutes of exercise a day, or a long as 2 hours...NOTHING gets in their way of getting it done. Not a long work day, not bad whether, not an argument with a spouse, not even an injury. If you said it, then you do it. If you’re injured, you work around it. It’s that simple. . When you finally decide for your WORD (ie. Commitment) to be more powerful than your REASONS (ie. Excuses), it is THEN that you will be in a place to create success. You’ll also create INTEGRITY, then you’ll stumble upon DIGNITY. And this, my friends, is where self-love, confidence, peace of mind, and RESULTS are all bred.💛

SUPERSET w/ 👇🏼 🔸Glute Ham Back Extension (4x15): Holding a weight, engage your glutes and slowly lift your torso, keeping back rounded and chin tucked under. Squeeze at top and hold for a beat before lowering. . 🔸Weighted Step Ups (4x15): Keep weight in heels and chest up entire time. Try to NOT lean forward. SUPERSET w/ 👇🏼 🔸Romanian Deadlifts (4x15): Keep legs straight, back rigid, hinge at the hips, and slowly lower down. Engage and pull thru glutes to standing position. SLOW and GROW! Feel those muscles breakdown and rebuild! . GIANT SET: 3 rounds 🔸Bulgarian Split Squats (3x15 each side): DEATH by split squats 💀😭 Make sure front knee is at 90 degrees at the bottom of the movement. Keep chest up. 🔸Leg Press (3x15): I like feet high and wide to target my glutes, but play around with foot positioning to target the muscles you want to hit! WEIGHT IN HEELS & KNEES OUT are a must! 🔸Seated Abductors (3x15): Keeping your glutes pressed against the back of the chair, push outwards with your legs and slowly release back to center. These do a booty good! 🔸Standing Abductors (3x15): ANOTHER amazing booty move! Same move, but done standing, using hands to stabilize on the machine. . Eating a donut does NOT give you an instantaneous donut ring around your waist, nor does it make you a BAD or UNHEALTHY person. Keep in mind: the goal is to find a balanced and sustainable nutrition plan that you can do FOR LIFE!! It is NOT to constantly feel like you are “crash dieting” so hard you are perpetually deprived and unhappy. DEPRIVATION leads to BINGING...BINGING leads to YO-YO DIETING. Time to break the cycle. So take a chill pill, get that donut ready, & enjoy #SundayFunday . 🍩 Donut Law #2 : DO-NUT forget your PROTEIN FIRST! ☝🏼Chug a protein shake BEFORE you eat reach for a Maple Long John to ensure you don't go overboard. Not only will the water in the shake fill you up quickly, but also protein is the most immediately satiating macronutrient...which means it will make you full FASTER than any of the others (carbs and/or fats). By filling your belly with protein and water, you're less likely to reach for more than one! . 🍩Donut Law #3 : DO eat slowly!!! The faster we chomp that little ring of heaven, the more likely we are to want another, whether we are really hungry or not! Try to chew 20-30 times per bite. . 🍩Donut Law #4 : DO NUT make this a daily occurrence! Choose one day a week for starters to enjoy a donut (in moderation and following the rules above). Over time, and after you feel comfortable that donuts & NOT a slippery slope, you can indulge more often than once a week. . 🍩Donut Law #5 : DO NUT forget the 80/20 trick! 80% of your cals should come from clean foods each day. 20% can come from not-as-clean sources (like a donut). I’ll participate too…🙉 I FEAR losing control. In my marriage, my family, my business, my body. This fear has held me back in every single aspect of my life at one point or another, and was surely the reason I struggled with such severe eating disorder in my teen and early adult years.🔸 . Losing control meant losing the ability to make people love and accept me…or so I thought. So would starve myself in an attempt to control my body, which I assumed would help me control how much people loved me.🔸 . Once those that loved me forced me to “eat a burger,” you better believe I controlled where those calories went, and it was not through my digestive system. 🚽 And so began bulimia. And bulimia led to a food addiction.🔸 . Eventually, I was able to control my food addiction by controlling everyone and everything else around me. While there seemed to be a LOT of success in controlling so much, the COST was…well…the love and acceptance from others that I wanted so desperately.🔸 . As time has passed, age has set in, and a teeny tiny bit of wisdom has trickled into my soul, I realize that while much of my destiny I CAN control, MUCH of it I CANNOT. And my trying to control each and every thing (like someone’s mood and/or happiness, as well as how they feel about me) is a losing battle that when fought is one big huge WASTE OF TIME.🔸 . “God, grant me the Serenity to Accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.” Amen.🙏🏼💕 .
