{{WHAT IS AN ABUNDANT LIFE?}} . The virtue of abundance means being receptive and open to new information and being able to integrate that into our lives. So many of us are able to take in information: listen to podcasts, spiritual leaders, friendly advice and even instagram posts, but integration of information can fall short. . Integration of information comes from pulling the essential nutrients out of our lessons and making choices that elevate us to the next level. When we decide to remain comfortable instead of change, abundance is lost. . Abundance comes when we are able to receive fullness with gratitude and integration. . My questions for you: 🌻How well do you receive new information? 🌻Are you able to actively listen without responding? 🌻What is something that you've been waiting to integrate into your life? . Happy Sunday 😇🙏 R. . . . 📷 by Brian Erickson
In nature, late Summer is when all of the hard work comes to fruition with harvest season. For us mortals, the hard work we have put into our physical and intellectual health, the cultivation we have put into our relationships and the development of our spiritual practice all determine the quality of the harvest that we reap. . Questions about what we have to offer naturally come up: ✨Did we work hard to cultivate? ✨Is there more room for growth? ✨Did we have integrity to the process? ✨What can we share with the people around us? ✨Is there an abundance or deficiency? . Abundance comes from nourishment. First from our mother, then from our families and later from the choices that we make. It is the energetics of the humidity that slow us down and creates space for this reflection. . Where are you in this journey? What work will you to do ensure a better harvest next year? . . camera by Kelly Neil

When your beauty struck me, it dissolved me. Deep down, I am not different from you. I dreamed you, I wished for your existence. I see in you that part of me which is you. I surrender my sincerity because if I love you it means we share the same fantasies, we share the same madness. -Anais Nin
As if you were on fire from within. The moon lives in the lining of your skin. -Pablo Neruda

In judging our progress as individuals we tend to concentrate on external factors such as one's social position, influence and popularity, wealth and standard of education... But internal factors may be even more crucial in assessing one's development as a human being. Honesty, sincerity, simplicity, humility, pure generosity, absence of vanity, readiness to serve others - qualities which are within easy reach of every soul - are the foundation of one's spiritual life. -Nelson Mandela . . . 📷 by mona eendra
You can either see yourself as a wave in the ocean or you can see yourself as the ocean. -Oprah Winfrey
When the mind is still, then truth gets her chance to be heard in the purity of the silence.” ― Sri Aurobindo . I've been slacking, friends. We had a never ending house project pop up that has required most of my spare time. I haven't been sitting. I haven't been still and I'll tell you missing a few days doesn't shake me, but I'm in my third week without my regular meditation practice and my anxiety level and irritability factors have each increased. . Starting tomorrow morning, I'm committing to a thirty day sitting and yoga practice to get myself back on track. Check in with me here to hear about my progress and lessons I've learned along the way. xo, Rikki

In my practice I talk a lot about balance and how to find freedom from things that are out of alignment. To help clients come back into alignment with themselves we do work around integrity. Integrity is at the root of all of my teachings, but today I wanted to talk about what integrity looks like when it is out of balance. It helps me to see emotions as if they are on a pendulum. In this instance, integrity is at the center: . Self-indulgence - INTEGRITY - Ingratiation . Integrity can be thwarted by self-indulgence disguised as integrity. What does that look like? . "I can't do (the thing I am meant to do) because I have to accomplish XYZ on my unrelated to-do list first." This trap can set you back weeks, months or years. It can allow all of the non-important things in life to hold you back from the most important thing -- living the life you want. . On the other hand, ingratiation will have you transform like a chameleon for others approval and liking. In that transformation we abandon our inner-self, our hopes, our dreams for the momentary approval of someone else. . Have you seen this in loved ones? How about yourself? Does this help you re-frame some internal motivations? Let me know below!👇 . . . 📷 by matteo vistocco
"Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we're suppose to be and embracing who we are." -Brene Brown
Have you felt an energetic shift lately? The heavy dampness of August has settled in, it's humidity oppressive many days which creates the forced slow down of the summer season. How is that feeling to you? . The main virtue of Earth/Harvest season is integrity. Integrity as I teach it, is when your thoughts and actions are in line with your emotions. Habitual behaviors that keep us from integrity are self-indulgence or ingratiation. Self indulgent behaviors often keep us from being our best self. Think of all the times you've binge watched a show when you only intended to watch one (or two)! Ingratiation is the attempt to get people to like us by being more favorable to them, thus taking us away from our authentic selves. The balance of the season and the balance between these emotions comes from living in integrity to our life's mission. . More on Earth season this week. For now, I have three house projects that need finishing! Happy Sunday! . . . . 📷 by katerina radvanska
Unless and until we have peace deep within us, we can never hope to have peace in the outer world. You and I can create the world by the vibrations that we offer it. If we can invoke peace and then offer it to somebody else, we will see how peace expands from one to two persons, and gradually to the world at large. Peace will come about in the world from the perfection of individuals. If you have peace, I have peace, he has peace and she has peace, then automatically universal peace will dawn. -Sri Chinmoy
. A few mornings ago as I was sitting the words spiritually fearless came up. I continued my sitting without another thought. . This morning as I was sipping my tea, this precarious little phrase flew across my mind again! So I started to question the real meaning of these words. . Many of us can mistake fearlessness as overcoming a difficult goal or hardship. Our culture praises and rewards people for pushing through and burning the candle at both ends. But pushing through, is only fearlessness of the ego. The ego can stop us with our wounds and our stories and it can also create enough noise for us to ignore our spirits. . For me, spiritual fearlessness is about accepting each moment just as it is: . ✨Without resistance. ✨Without attachment to outcome ✨Without becoming a victim to it ✨Without getting angry or scared ✨Without becoming self righteous . Spiritually fearless means repeatedly choosing to welcome the emotions that create discomfort within ourselves and honoring them with introspection. By tuning in we can hear the inner self that always knows the right answer and the next move. The inner self that has a direction that is neither logical or predictable but fully in line with the reason we are here. . What do you think? How do these words land for you? 💫🌻😊 . Happy Saturday! . . . 📷 by seth doyle
