(I don’t know about you, but my toddler twins hate wearing socks and coats which is a little tricky in the winter time…) 🧤 Pumpkin pie cookie balls Ingredients: 1/2 cup pumpkin puree 1/2 cup almond butter 1 TBSP coconut oil 2 tsp pure maple syrup 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/3 cup coconut flour 3 TBSP @KidzShake vegan chocolate shake powder 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice Sprinkle of sea salt Topping: 1/4 cup Food-processed sunflower or pumpkin seeds mixed with 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp coconut sugar Directions: Whisk wet ingredients until creamy (warm almond butter until soft if needed). Stir in remaining ingredients, roll into balls then roll in seed topping. Freeze or chill until firmed up a little and enjoy! Try these, and see how your mood changes 🤩🤩🤩 Gluten-Free Vegan Banana Donuts with Dragonfruit Glaze (Soy-Free, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, No Refined Sugar, Vegan) Yields 8 Ingredients: 1/2 cup gluten-free flour 3/4 tsp baking powder (corn starch-free and aluminum free obvi) 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 1/8 tsp sea salt 1/2 cup mashed banana 1 TBSP maple syrup 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup coconut milk Directions: 1. Mash banana and stir all ingredients together. 2. Pour into coconut oil or avocado-oil greased donut pan. 3. Bake 16-20 min or until golden and set. Cool on a wire rack and drizzle with optional glaze. To make the glaze: Whisk vegan vanilla protein powder with water and dragonfruit powder or melted frozen pitaya until a spreadable texture is reached. Add plant-colored vegan sprinkled if desired! Answer✨: Turmeric Brookies! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I told the twins I’d make them a treat if they ate all their dinner (yes I totally bribe them) so here’s the result 😉💕💕 Here's the version I made today. It’s simple and good (aka I was too lazy to look up my own recipe on my blog) Turmeric Brookies Version 2.0 Ingredients: 2/3 cup fine almond flour 2/3 cup ground oats 1 cup oats 2 TBSP almond butter 2 TBSP coconut oil, melted 2 TBSP maple syrup 1 tsp turmeric up tp 1/4 cup water as needed Directions: Stir together and press into a parchment paper-lined 8" pan. In a large bowl stir together: 1/3 cup almond flour 1/3 cup oat flour (ground gf oats) 1/4 cup cacao 2 TBSP almondbutter 2 TBSP coconut oil, melted 2 TBSP maple syrup 1/2 tsp vanilla water if needed sprinkle of sea salt smooth brownie layer on top of "cookie dough" layer, and bake at 350F for 14-18 min or until set. When I first heard of shilajit, I thought it was black sea salt and wondered what the big deal was. When I looked into it, I learned of the many health benefits and why I might want to incorporate it into my life! Shilajit has been described as the "best carrier of energy and nutrition into the human body" which intrigued me. I discovered numerous scientific studies on potential benefits of shilajit (do some research, I won't link to them here, ha) including ones I could benefit from: helps retain iron, and has anti-inflammatory properties and can help prevent Alzheimer's disease and more. I already topically have applied it to my eczema and so far it has helped with redness and itching, which is a huge relief to those of us with bad eczema. 🥦🍕This recipe is pretty much the easiest "pizza" recipe ever. It's fantastic for busy families! I'm a proud military spouse and have been asked to share healthy and easy meals for military families (though every family could use healthy and quick meal ideas!). Especially when my spouse is traveling, the moments we have at the table are extra special, and I don't want to waste all afternoon in the kitchen, so the faster the better (but still allergen-free and healthy). For this recipe, drizzle olive or avocado oil across a cauliflower pizza crust (the plain @caulipowered one is perfect) and scatted crushed garlic and sundried tomatoes across it. Top with veggies and squash: cauliflower, butternut squash; anything! Garnish with olives and sprinkle Italian seasoning and cracked black pepper on top. Bake 14 min at 425F and voila! Plus a little healthy dessert tonight is good incentive to get up in the dark to workout with a buddy 😉💪 Almond Butter Bar Recipe Yields 16 Ingredients: Base: 1/2 cup almond butter 5 TBSP pure maple syrup 1/4 cup hemp oil 2 chia eggs (3 TBSP chia + 6 TBSP water, let sit for 5 min) 2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1-1/2 cup gluten-free oat flour 1-1/2 cup gluten-free oats 1 tsp lucuma 1/4 tsp sea salt optional: 3 TBSP nondairy vegan chocolate chips Top coating: 1/3 cup vegan chocolate chips 1/4 cup almond butter optional sprinkling of coarse sea salt Directions: 1. Line an 8" pan with parchment paper. 2. Stir all ingredients into a bowl, then press into the pan. 3. Melt chocolate chips with nut butter in the microwave or over a double boiler, then spread in a layer atop the base. 4. Chill in the freezer for 20-30 min. Take out 10 min before serving. Sprinkle with coarse salt if desired and cut into bars. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Good morning! No chit chat, I'm sharing a recent amazing homemade cereal with you. Save money, get some filling nourishment and bake up this easy granola recipe: Spiced Millet Granola Ingredients: 3 cups gluten-free oats 1/2 cup millet (uncooked) 1/3 cup sesame seeds 3 tablespoons chia seeds 1/3 cup sunflower seeds 3 tablespoons maple sugar or coconut sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon cardamom 1/8 teaspoon cloves 1/4 cup + 2 TBSP fresh-squeezed orange juice 1/2 cup apple-juice sweetened cranberries Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees and line a pan with a silpat, or parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, mix oats, millet, seeds, sugar and spices. 3. Juice half an orange (1/4 cup plus a little extra), add to the mixture and stir, coating ingredients. 4. Lay granola mixture on the pan and bake 30 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon every 10 min as not to burn. Add the cranberries at the end, baking an additional 5-8 minutes. 5. Let cool and serve.
