International Day of Yoga, is celebrated annually on 21 June since its inception in 2015. An international day for yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in Bharat or India . The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN address suggested the date of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares special significance in many parts of the world. _______________________________________ Aside from the physical benefits, one of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person manage stress, which is known to have devastating effects on the body and mind. “Stress can reveal itself in many ways, including back or neck pain, sleeping problems, headaches, drug abuse, and an inability to concentrate,” says Dr. Nevins. “Yoga can be very effective in developing coping skills and reaching a more positive outlook on life.” ________________________________________ Yoga’s incorporation of meditation and breathing can help improve a person’s mental well-being. “Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration,” says Dr. Nevins. Body- and self-awareness are particularly beneficial, she adds, “because they can help with early detection of physical problems and allow for early preventive action." __________________________________________ #humfittoindiafit #delhiwale #meinbhiphotographer #dslrofficial #delhi #streetsofdelhi #f4fofficial #natgeoindia #natgeocreative #natgeoyourshot #streetphotographyinternational #tripotocommunity #streetsofdelhi #streetphotographydelhi #camerawalebhaiya #indianphotography #indiapictures #indiaclicks #nvedi #indianphotos #photgraphers_of_india #shoutoutmenimit #coloursofindia #india_undiscovered #streetphotographyindia

Eid Mubarak to everyone☪ Biding adieu to the most prosperous month to every Muslim and welcoming the most awaited Eid ul-Fitr. ______________________________________________ Eid ul-Fitr is one of the most celebrated festivals for Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramdan which is the holy month of fasting. The term Eid ul-Fitr means 'The festival of the breaking of the fast'. It is the first day of the month of Shawwal and the date is decided with the sighting of the crescent moon. The day is stated with special prayers, usually done in a large hall or open field. ______________________________________________ Eid 2018 in India begins with festivities on the previous night itself, called 'Chand Raat' (night of the moon). Excitement is in the air as people shop at bazaars for Eid shopping. Young girls also apply henna/ mehandi on their hands and wear colourful bangles. Eid, in India, (particularly Eid ul-Fitr) is also called the 'Sweet Festival', with sweet food items taking centre stage on this auspicious day. Lachha Seviyan, a delicious dish of roasted seviyan (vermicelli) in milk, topped with dried fruits, is key to this occasion. ___________________________________________________ #delhiwale #meinbhiphotographer #dslrofficial #delhi #streetsofdelhi #abybaig #f4fofficial #natgeoindia #natgeocreative #natgeoyourshot #streetphotographyinternational #tripotocommunity #streetsofdelhi #streetphotographydelhi #camerawalebhaiya #indianphotography #indiapictures #indiaclicks #nvedi #indianphotos #photgraphers_of_india #shoutoutmenimit #coloursofindia #india_undiscovered #streetphotographyindia
