Photographer @drewgiggity tested the new Firmware 3.0 on his #SonyAlpha a7R III and shares some of the results. Swipe to see some of Drew's first timelapses taken with the new internal intervalometer feature that is now available on the a7R III and a7 III cameras. | a7R III | 16-35mm f2.8 GM | β€’ β€’ "The new timelapse/intervalometer mode is probably one of the best features added to the a7 mark 3 lineup, simply because it means I don't have to pack additional gear. The worst feeling you can have is realizing you've forgotten a piece of equipment and now that the intervalometer is internal you don't have to worry about that anymore. It really allows you to focus on the shot and the moment you want to capture... plus you can assign it to custom buttons which means you can switch between timelapse and regular photos at a single click of a button!" Photographer and #AlphaCollective member @charlottelittlewolf shares these shots from the Northern Lights Wildlife Wold Centre with the #SonyAlpha a7 III and 70-200mm f2.8 G-Master 🐺 "I was so impressed with how my a7 III capture the water droplets coming off of Flora, this rescued wolf. This was a dream come true seeing this wolf running through the snow! When in these situations, remember to keep that shutter speed high!" #BeAlpha
Golden hour in Shanghai captured by talented photographer @kaiyhun. Here’s a tip πŸ‘‰πŸ½ "This shot was taken on my trip to Shanghai. One of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever witnessed. When photographing golden hour, I will always have the histogram meter on my camera screen. Using the histogram as a standardized chart, I would adjust my various camera settings to ensure proper exposure. Whenever possible, I try to keep my ISO low. The exposure of the image usually depends on the shutter speed and aperture, which I adjust accordingly to the subject I am photographing." | #SonyAlpha a7R III | 16mm | f9 | 1/40 sec | ISO 50 | #BeAlpha
The Mosque of Ibn Tulun, located in Cairo, Egypt, captured by photographer @davieg8 "This mosque is easily one of the most photo-worthy locations in Egypt due to its historical value and unique architecture. All of that made it quite challenging to me as a photographer to come up with a unique photo that captures the essence of the location. The weather and lighting conditions at that moment had a significant role in creating such a dramatic mood." | a7R II | 14mm | f/5.6 | 1/1250 & 1/160 (2 bracket exposure) | ISO 64 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha
πŸ“·: @simonlachapelle "A cold winter day at Port of Montreal. It can be cold in Canada... really cold. This one was shot on a very freezing day. The good news was it was so cold outside that everyone was inside and we had the port for ourselves! I took this one at 16mm so I could correct the perspectives in Lightroom to makes lines perfectly straight." | #SonyAlpha a7R III | 16-35mm f/4 | f/5.6 | 1/250 sec | ISO 320 | #BeAlpha
Reflections on Eibsee courtesy of photographer @_alexanderwieck "The photo was taken a few weeks ago when the snow in the valley had started melting and the highest mountains still have their snow-covered peaks. It shows Eibsee, a small lake at the foot of the Zugspitze (in Germany) at sunrise. As a small tip, I recommend that getting up early compensates in most cases for all strains."ο»Ώ | a6000 | 16mm f1.4 | f5 | 1/125 | ISO 100 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha
Lookin’ up with photographer @coreycaptures 😏 "I took this image in Chicago while walking around the city with a few of my friends. Sometimes the best photos are not the ones at eye level, but rather above or below you, especially within large cities. I am constantly looking for symmetry and where light is hitting -- When I looked up and saw the golden light hitting the side of the tower, I ran out into the middle of the intersection, aimed my camera straight up, and snapped a few images. I did this a couple of times in between traffic until I ended up with this image, which I was very happy with." | a7 III | 16-35mm f/2.8 GM | 16mm | f/8 | 1/250 | ISO 160 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha
πŸ“·: @calibreus "Would you believe me if I told you that this reflection was created by a puddle that was less than a couple feet in length? It’s amazing what kind of perspectives you can get when you get low to a small body of water. Puddles generally produce stunning reflections due to the fact they aren’t affected by wind anywhere near as much as lakes or ponds are. Next time you’re out photographing a scene, look for puddles and try putting your camera really close to the water and see what you get. You may be surprised by just how big of an impact a puddle can have on a scene.” | #SonyAlpha a7 | 28mm f/3.5 | f/8 | 1/500s | ISO 100 | #BeAlpha

Leading lines at Ancol Beach in Jakarta captured by photographer @tjieuw πŸ‘πŸ½ "Don't forget before you take a photo to make sure you are in a good position. Be sure to use leading lines and the Rule of Thirds to make your photo look interesting." | a6000 | 9mm | f16 | 10 sec | ISO 100 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha
The insanely colorful California Poppies in full bloom captured by photographer @ccr_out_of_here πŸ‘‰πŸ½ "This photo was taken near Lake Elsinore in Walker Canyon early in the morning. If you get there before sunrise, you can beat traffic and hopefully get a good chance to see the poppies without the crowds. If you're are planning on hiking or catching the poppies before they are off-season, please respect nature and stay on the path so we can enjoy the poppies for years to come."ο»Ώ | a7 III | 16-35mm f 2.8 GM | f4 | 1/160 | ISO 640 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha
