Sometimes we are so hard on ourselves. We except our own self to always do the right thing, never falter, never fail, and in being human when we do get things wrong, we feel terrible. Always worried about what will happen next, always looking over our shoulder for past mistakes to catch up with us. We stop living in the 'now'. While being on the road, me and my friends made a pact to always try and stay in the present moment. To just enjoy the NOW and not worry about what was happening back in the office or how long and exhausting the next road trip back home would be. To be honest, it wasn't easy. Even with our best efforts it was so easy to slip back into the negativity that our minds are used to. We had to constantly remind each other to come back and stay into the present moment every time one of us noticed the other going astray. Even when you don't have friends around you to remind you that, we need to make an effort to remind ourselves of it. Every single day. For more details please read 'The Power of Now' by @eckharttolle - it was one of the books that changed my life - or at least is in the process of changing it. . I am good, but not an angel. I do sin, but I am not the devil. I am just a small girl in a big world trying to find someone to love. (Marilyn Monroe) . The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. (Carl Sagan). . . Photo by @ali_awaiss . . Life caught up with me and I was not able to share anything on Instagram for the past few days. Managing a blog, a full time corporate job, an extensive gym routine and a home life leaves has me constantly juggling different priorities. I was reading up and learning about time management recently, and I learnt that you can have many priorities in life, but at any one time you can only focus on 3 properly. So if you have work, family, blog and gym as your priorities, you should only choose any 3 per day to focus on. For the past 3 days it has been gym, work and family - hence no activity on the blog. But since the weekend is coming up, I am hoping I'll be able to make it gym, family and blog. What challenges do you face when dividing up your time? Sometimes I wish I could stay forever in a timeless place like in this picture. . . Photo and Caption by @threedayweekend.life
The problem with Karachi is that everyone wants to be the city’s owner, yet seldom does anyone take ownership of it. For quite some time, municipal governments in the city have been non-existent. The provincial government has been uninterested in doing anything for the city that is not only the provincial capital, but also the financial hub that generates so much revenue for the federation. Then there’s the federal government that acts like the city doesn’t even exist - except when it comes to using Karachi’s port and incomes generated from all the businesses here. Meanwhile, Karachi is so humongous (and it’s growing like Pinocchio’s nose) that it’s a country within a country - a smaller version of Pakistan. It really isn’t surprising that the self sustaining city is having a rather unsustainable expansion. . . Photo and Caption by @lifeofakarachiite . . Karachi, Pakistan

Pakhair Raghlay Being the daughter of the North I am so humbled to introduce you to the prestigious Islamia College, founded in 1913. It is well worth a look for its grand Victorian façade and clocktower, which features on Pakistan's Rs 1000 note as well. It faces Jamrud Rd and anyone can enter the gates and stroll around the manicured gardens. The green surroundings and contemplative atmosphere makes it a real oasis Please do visit it if you ever go to Peshawar. It is a must you won't be dissappointed I promise. They do not allow dslr camera's without permission I happen to be the daughter of the Registrar and Khan so they let me go easy! If you plan on taking them make sure you take permission from the higher authorities. Pakhair Raghlay means "Welcome" in Pukhto language . .
