I am from Delhi, and I have seen with each passing year the city is becoming more and more polluted. Some of the people have blamed the state government, who are in turn blaming other states. Well, it's high time instead of this meaningless blame-game we should come ahead and take initiative to save the beautiful city, save the environment, which will save us and our future generations.
Last year, I was supposed to attend one of the events in Delhi, but I had to cancel it because of unhealthy levels of AQL(Air Quality Index). This year also, I said got an offer to attend not one, but three events immediately after the Diwali night. My team was sure that once again Delhi will be covered in a toxic grey haze because of burning paddy stubble and fire crackers, that's the reason they politely said no to the event organizers even without consulting with me.
Yes, me and my team has suffered a financial loss because of air pollution, but what about the people of Delhi, who are living in the gas chamber? I am worried for my family, friends and well wishers, who are in Delhi, the prolonged exposure of polluted air may result in respiratory illness.
