PERSPECTIVE ON #LFC
"A match at Anfield against a top tier Liverpool is always a tough day for the Spurs but confidence is high so we were ready for the challenge. Pochettino started us in the usual 4-2-3-1 and early on the Reds struck with Mohamed Salah knocking in a very nice shot past Lloris in the third minute. He had yet another opportunity to strike in the 18th and just missed the goal off a corner. The lads headed to the break 1-0 down after a very heavily dominated half by the reds. However, right off the bat, coming into the second half the boys were much more energized knocking in attempts right and left. Coming into the final third of the game it looked as if the Reds would walk away with the win, but in classic Spurs fashion, Wanyama knocked in an amazing shot to the top left bringing us level. Kane missed a controversial penalty at 1-1. Looking to end in a draw now, the first minute of stoppage time, Salah hit in another shot from the six yard box to the bottom right. Assuming they won the game many Reds fas turned off the television after this, but the game was far from over. Van Dijk, the highest paid defender not, conceded a foul inside the penalty area, and looking for goal number 100, Mister Harry Kane walked up to the ball and knocked one into the bottom right area. Grabbing a point at Anfield is always a good feeling, and having a legend score 100 goals in the league is also a good feeling. Shots wise we dominated with 13 (6 on target) and they had 9 (3 on target), and we had around 2/3s of the possession due to that superb second half. Looking forward to that FA Cup rematch, the Spurs won a decisive and needed matchup in good fashion. COYS"
