If you’ve been following me for awhile, or even if you just were to take a peek at my feed, you probably will notice that I dress a bit more on the conservative side.
Call me old fashioned, but tight fitting clothes, low cut blouses, and short hems and me don’t seem to get along. I will admit, I am a bit self conscious about my body and how clothing fits, which does contribute to the styles I tend to wear.
Needless to say, I saw this gem on @ModCloth
and was head over heels. When I first tried this sultry velvet dress on I couldn’t believe how amazing I looked in it, more so how amazing I felt.
I felt sexy. I felt powerful. I felt confident. I felt beautiful in way that I don’t often feel. I felt myself in a way I didn’t think was possible. I wanted to dance. I wanted to take the stage. I was ready for anything. And those feelings are so worthwhile.
I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone with this retro green dress, because this dress suits me and makes me feel things I often don’t feel.
