with his last takeover post here 🤗
Sometimes waking up at 3:00 o'clock in the morning and hiking 2,5 hours to the peak of mount Schafberg is really worth it. Such epic sunrises like this one are not every day, we were really lucky to have such a red burning sky. This color was here, just for moments. After the sunrise, the sun hid behind the clouds and it felt like the sun had never risen.

Cows need as much as we do an enjoyable sunset whilst refreshing them with cool water.
there are many small mountains, which are super easy to hike and really worth going up the peaks after work. So it´s possible to enjoy a sunset with a great view everyday at many different places. This wonderful cross with a lake in front is located on mount Trattberg.
Good morning folks @kuscheiart
This city, @visit.hallein
is the place where I live 🤗 I just need about 1,5h from my doorstep to this spot, which are called Barmsteine. This view is from the big Barmstein, the other cliff which you can see here is the small one. It's very easy to climb the small Barmstein, because there are well developed steps. I love it to go there for sunrise, because it's a perfect start into the day.
Have a great weekend 🏔
one more time with the last post of my takeover!
One month ago we climbed Großglockner (3798m) via Stüdlgrat. Here you can see my brother in the crux of the route „Glatte Kante“ (IV-, 3690m). The ridge climb was awesome and it felt so great to stand on the highest summit of Austria.
Especially because just two days earlier we fought our way up Großvenediger (3666m) in a snowstorm (more about that in the story). Thanks everybody for the great feedback, that‘s it from me! If you want to see my upcoming adventures in South America, feel free to follow along at @germanadventurer

Usually I like to post pictures of places that are not super quick and easy to reach. This shot might look like that too - after all it is a mountain that is 3333m high. But it is actually very easy to reach the Schaufelspitze with just half an hour of hiking from the top station of the cable car at the stubai glacier 😉 And the views are fantastic!

here with another shot. There are not many things that I enjoy more than skiing down a new line in the evening light. I am really excited to start the next backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering adventures soon. Who else is ready to hit the fresh powder?

with another takeover post!
Two weeks ago we climbed to the summit of Olperer (3480m). It was quite cold and windy on the exposed summit ridge but I loved the icy look that the mountains had.

On our climb to Rinnenspitze (3001m) this summer the weather was all over the place. We started hiking in sunny conditions and decided to push to the summit when it started raining. As we arrived at the summit (Picture 2), it started thundering. On our hike down the sun came out again. Scroll to the end of the series to see the mood change at the lake from before and after we climbed the summit 😅

Hey everybody, Thomas here alias @germanadventurer.
I will be taking over the account for two days to show you some of my favorite adventure shots of the last few months hiking and mountaineering in Austria.
On Sunday we hiked to the top of Montscheinspitze in @naturpark.karwendel
and stayed on the summit until after sunset. The golden evening light on the mountains is just hard to beat right now!
