Spent the morning with my label embosser and glass jars Pinterest-ifying my pantry. I didn’t start this for aesthetic reasons. My pantry recently got overtaken by pantry moths (so gross), so I had to go through all the bags of flour, grains, snacks, dogs treats (they live in these things 😫), and throw out most of them. Now I’m fully restocked and transferred everything into airtight glass containers so they NEVER COME BACK. 😅 Surprisingly enough, this actually saves me sooo much more space in the pantry and my Type A brain is very happy! Have you guys ever dealt with pantry moths? Please tell me I’m not the only one!!
Almost half way there! Let’s talk about self care during pregnancy, or even motherhood. My second trimester has been smooth sailing so far, so my self care routine hasn’t changed much from before pregnancy (epsom salt baths, journaling, meditation, yoga). BUT. There is one thing I need to be way more mindful of throughout this journey to reduce my stress and not go insane. And that is blocking out all the outside noise and looking inward.🙉 For some reason, this is the time when people love to give unsolicited advice, and on top of that, there’s so much conflicting information out there about what’s good for the baby and not. . Pregnancy is such a different experience for EVERY woman, so this is the time it’s become more important than ever for me to really listen to my body’s needs, and consult the midwives I’m working with who really know my health history and what I’m going through. . And that means eating high quality runny yolks🍳 and smoked salmon (because dang, this baby loves them), drinking my matcha every morning🍵, and massaging myself with CBD oil every now and then to reduce my back pain. 💆🏻‍♀️ . It’s so crazy to say this, but this weekend is the first weekend that I allowed myself to not work at all in... I don’t even remember when, and it felt goooood. 😎 I know many bloggers and entrepreneurs can relate, but if I have a little bit of downtime, I have to do SOMETHING to work on my business because there’s always something to be done. It’s what I’m constantly trying to work on and balance. . My intention going forward: stop determining if I had a good day or not by how much I get done in a day. There’s so much more to life, and it’s just as important to do NOTHING, “waste time” doing what brings me joy, and stopping to smell the super blooms. 🌸🌱🌼 #stopglorifyingbusy
